!ANNOUNCEMENT! You may have noticed the radio silence around here… Rob has decided to leave the band. This means that unfortunately Priestgate has come to an end. We are so grateful for everyone who supported us along the way - whether that was buying tickets to our shows, spinning a vinyl or showing us to ya nan and her best mates. Priestgate began as a mess around but soon enough we went on to do things beyond our initial intention.. like fkn Leeds/Reading & Maida Vale 🤯 We’d like to thank @stepmusicmanagement , @luckynumbermusic & @atc_live for all your hard work, for believing in us and backing us right up until the finish line. We were ‘lucky’ 🎲🎶 to have such an amazing team around us. Hugeeee thanks to all producers, engineers, photographers, promoters, everyone at @prsformusic , @bbcintroducing , @readdork , other artists and more who helped shape us & taught us so so much - you all know who you are. We have a limited amount of ‘One Shade Darker’ vinyls on our website, once they’re gone they’re gone. Behind the scenes of Priestgate during the writing & recording of ECFTW - May 2021. We started Pgate 6 or so years ago as a mess around covering Arctic Monkeys and Oasis… which soon turned into travelling up and down the country to play our own songs - visiting places I’d never had a reason to before. I’m very grateful for the amazing things I’ve done, the places I’ve visited and all the lovely people I’ve met along the way. I’ve learnt so much! Whether you realised or it not, you’ve all helped me come out my shell whilst doing the thing I love. However, I don’t want to get the violins out in this post (or maybe I will tbf, try something a littleee different) - I’m a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. Time to put the child to bed & move onto a new chapter! Sending all my love to everyone who supported Priestgate, you’re the best xx (!!)💞x (Also big thanks to @luke_hallett_ for sitting thru hours of our silly footage)
