‼️ANNOUNCEMENT RE: “NIGHT OUT”
Night OUT has been RESCHEDULED to Friday, June 12th!
Spread the word.
Thanks for your patience!

Join Texas Equal Access Fund, UNT Eagle Engagement Center, and PRIDENTON for our annual community sidewalk chalking event for the whole family to celebrate Pride! We’ll start at 8 am and chalk on the sidewalk around the Denton Courthouse Square. Meet us on the Hickory St. side to grab the chalk, and connect with us.
Local band, @yofishboy , will be there to supply some live tunes and a local face painter will be providing free designs!
Don’t forget to bring a hat, sunscreen, and water. We will have limited water and snacks.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Accessibility: There are ramps on the sidewalks where there is accessible parking and ramps are also on all four corners and streets of the Square.
Parking: Free parking is available along the Square with a parking lot behind the Wells Fargo building. More options are at dentonmainstreet.org/pages/parking.
Restrooms: Businesses around the Square are graciously allowing event attendees to use their restrooms that are all-use. We will share the list of available restrooms closer to the event. You can also ask a volunteer for guidance the day of the event.
💌 Please contact PRIDENTON at [email protected] if you need an accommodation to fully participate in an event due to a disability. Please make the request as soon as possible to allow sufficient time to arrange the accommodation.
📸 Please note that photographs and footage will be taken throughout the event. These will be used by PRIDENTON for marketing and publicity publications and on our website and social media. Please contact us if you have any concerns.
Let’s get to workin’
Stoke is a local, queer-owned, co-working space for entrepreneurs, artists, and community organizations.
On June 5, @stokedenton will open their doors for Pride! We’ll be networking, creating, expressing, collaborating, and clacking away on our laptops. Stoke will provide the free space, outlets, WiFi, and will also have some complimentary beverages on hand. Table/desk and outlet spaces are first-come, first-serve. This is a come-and-go event so hang out for as long or as little as you’d like.
This is just the place to explore your big ideas, connect with other community members, or maybe hunker down on a project you’ve been working on. So think about what you want to work on that day: Advocacy? Art? A passion project? Community-building?
The PRIDENTON team is also teaming up with @motheyecreative to record short interviews; to document and collect your pride stories over the last 10 years.
For more information about Stoke, visit stokedenton.com.
Address: 608 E. Hickory St., Denton, TX.

‼️UPDATE‼️
Night OUT IS NOW ON FRIDAY THE 12th!!!

CALLING ALL BUSINESSES, ORGS, & ARTISTS!
Y’all ready for a Night OUT?
SATURDAY, JUNE 13th, 6-10PM
At the Denton Quakertown Civic Center.
DEADLINE TO APPLY: May 23rd
Spots are limited!
This is a night where local businesses and organizations show their support and PRIDE for the LGBTQIA2S+ community by participating in a “reverse pride parade” where businesses are the “floats” and participants come to YOU. Attendees will bounce between floats to engage with you, pick up some swag, take pictures and build relationships with businesses that support the LGBTQIA2S+ community. While this event is flanked by brick & mortar businesses on and around The Square, small businesses, organizations, and artists also have the opportunity to have booths in and around our main event area at the Civic Center.
Link in bio to sign-up! 📝
Fee reductions available.
Space inside the Civic Center is limited.

‼️ Update: Typo on page 10: Robert Archer III and Nick Stevens are candidates for District 2.
Reposting guide to reflect District 1 candidate Michael Herron, and At Large, Place 5 candidates Erica Garland and Caleb Meese did not respond to @denton4diversity ’s candidate survey.
Those who did respond to the survey all marked “support” for each question. Mayor candidate Chris Watts only left comments for questions 1 and 2, so we removed the icons for questions 3 and 4 since they lacked substantial remarks.

**********
Early voting starts today!
We created a nonpartisan voter guide to break down the candidates for the May 2026 Joint Election: mayor, city council, and Denton ISD Board of Trustees.
Huge thanks to @denton4diversity for sending a survey covering such critical topics to the candidates. You can read the responses in a Google Doc linked in their Instagram bio!
We’ll be dropping off physical copies of the guide around town so be on the lookout for the list soon! Or you can pick up a copy when you see us at Pride at the Polls at the Civic Center on Saturday, April 25 from 1-3pm 🏳️🌈
CALL FOR MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDERS!
Now more than ever, the LGBTQIA2S+ community needs mental health support.
That’s why PRIDENTON is officially launching the Therapy Scholarship Program. The program covers the cost of therapy at $50 per session for up to 12 sessions.
We are looking for LGBTQ+-affirming providers, ideally those who have experience working with the LGBTQ+ community. Affirming doesn’t just mean acceptance; it means culturally competent therapy where a client feels seen and supported.
If this sounds like you or someone you know, you can find the application at the link in our bio or head to our website: pridenton.org
