Coventry Pride is excited to announce that this year’s Pride weekend will take place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June 2026. Across two vibrant days, the city will come together to celebrate LGBTQIA+ identities, uplift community voices, and champion equality, creativity, and solidarity.
Building on the success of previous years, Coventry Pride 2026 promises a dynamic programme of live performances, art, talks, community activities, and spaces for reflection, empowerment, and joy. As always, Pride is shaped by the people who take part — and we want your voices, talent, and ideas at the heart of the event.

We believe Pride is for everyone — and that means our leadership should reflect the richness of our community. Whether your strengths are in finance, governance, communications, fundraising, community engagement, or something entirely different, your voice matters here.
What you’ll do as a Trustee:
• Guide the strategic direction of Coventry Pride
• Champion inclusion, equality, and intersectionality
• Support grassroots projects and community initiatives
• Bring your unique skills and lived experience to the table
Who we’re looking for:
• People from all walks of life
• Those with a passion for LGBTQ+ advocacy and community building
• Individuals ready to collaborate, challenge, and inspire

This role is unpaid, but reasonable expenses covered, and should take no more than a few hours a week at most. There will be a board meeting (you can join online) every month for a couple of hours, and then all other times are flexible around your capacity and freedom. ⏳ Pride & Unity: LGBTQIA+ History Week ⏳
We have entered our final week of our 5 weeks of Pride & Unity 😢 but we are kicking our last week, LGBTQIA+ History Week, off with a bang!
Over the course of the week, come down to The Yard Coventry to see the wonderful ‘Queer Without Fear: Pride in Who we Are’ display:
Described as a bold new exhibition, Queer Without Fear: Pride in Who We Are by visual artist iamroyalart captures the defiance, joy, and power of the LGBTQ+ community through striking images of Coventry Pride's 2025 event, and beyond.
Presented with Coventry Pride and Unity in Coventry, the show shines a light on the people behind the movement. “Every photograph is a protest, every face a testament to survival and joy,” says iamroyalart.
Amy Turner, newly elected Chair of Coventry Pride, says, "Our event and our cause is more than a parade or a single day in the calendar- it’s about visibility and solidarity."
Dee, from Unity in Coventry, adds: "Together, we build a future where every individual is celebrated and every voice is heard. Our strength lies in our unity, and our pride shines in our community."
The exhibition also builds momentum for United in Love 2025, a city-wide celebration of LGBTQ+ identity on 13th September, where there will be further opportunities to explore an artistic view of what it means to be LGBTQ+ in Coventry.
Queer Without Fear is open now and will run until 12th September at The Yard, a vibrant tribute to resilience, creativity, and unapologetic pride in who we are.

We kick things off at 11am with our Memorial Mince through War Memorial Park – a strut filled with camp classics, laughter, and sparkle. Whether you’re stomping in heels, gliding in glitter, or even bringing along your furry friend 🦮, this one’s for everyone!
Then stick around for our Queer Sports Day, hosted by the fabulous Coventry Corsairs RFC (@coventry_corsairsrfc ) from 1–3pm. Expect playful school sports day games, music, and maybe even a cheeky award or two 😍🏅.
This isn’t just about sport – it’s about joy, inclusivity, and celebration. Sport should be fun, safe, and for everybody!
