WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY
I took today to think over my journey of wellbeing and mental health over the years (while spending a silly amount of time creating this photograph). Mine journey includes depression through to extreme stress and anxiety. Every day is mental health day really as we all have to discover our own individual mechanisms for achieving wellbeing and being aware of when our mental health is suffering.
The world is a super anxiety provoking place as the moment so I make sure everyday I do one of my top 3 calming and grounding activities:
1. For me being around nature and especially caring for my houseplants provides me with moments of calm and allow me to be in flow.
2. I love getting lost in fiction books - I am obsessed with @audible_uk because it means I can hear stories while I walk or drive or work with my hands or while doing chores or trying to block out peppa pig. (My wireless headphones are attached to me)
3. And lastly my bedtime routine: I make a list of anything I didn’t get done that day or that needs to be done the next day so that my brain can let go of the thoughts and I use a meditation app for a guided meditation before I go to sleep

As you should all know prick online shop is closing. Due to sickness I’ve extended our closing date we have found homes for all our plants and books and majority of the pots we just have 300 left. Just like a brilliant piece of art deserves to live in a frame, houseplants deserve gorgeous planters to enhance and augment their natural beauty. Look for the diameter printed underneath the plant's nursery pot - you'll be looking for a planter the same size, or one size up. If you choose a planter without a drainage hole, make sure the nursery pot fits comfortably inside so that water can trickle out; if your planter does have a drainage hole, find a saucer to go underneath to protect your table or floor from water stains.
