My heart felt like i had a long winter inside of me, brutally cold , everything grey and everything sad at times. The winter stayed longer than i thought, like from a friend to a guest that just stayed longer, someone more a pest. And everyday i woke up with winter inside me,everyday like it waited for me to just open the door and let in the cat in, like it kept scratching on my door as if i didn't let it in. But then one day, the scratching on the door just stopped. I woke up not hearing someone at my door anymore. instead there was sunlight on my window sill, the robins sang outside my porch sweet songs, i woke up one day and winter was gone, she left packing her bags without leaving a note just like that, but then spring arrived and everything changed since then. Spring came to welcome me outside, to never stay in again. To never close doors but to let it open. Flowers bloomed on my vines, bees arrived busy buzzing, gently kissing each bloom. Trees threw shade on my pathways. Everything changed so did i. But, one day winter will come like a friend, but now; i just now know, to not shut the door as spring is just behind.
