FOOTNOTES ON COLOR - a study in movement, emotion, and the quiet rebellion of joy.
In a moment in history that often feels heavy, dark and uncertain, Footnotes on Color proposes something deceptively simple: a return to color as an act of resistance.
This editorial begins where we physically meet the world - at our feet.
Feet carry weight. They move us forward. They root us to the ground. But they also lift, leap, run, hesitate, and sometimes barely touch the surface at all.
Each chapter of this story becomes a chromatic footnote, a reflection on emotional states translated through color, movement and gesture. Shoes and socks, always matched in tone, act as anchors of intention. They are not mere accessories, but punctuation marks within a visual language.
Throughout Footnotes on Color, the ground is never entirely lost, but constantly renegotiated. The editorial explores the tension between staying grounded and allowing oneself to escape, between realism and imagination, gravity and lightness.
In matching shoes and socks we establish unity, a chromatic base. From there, clothing, makeup and illustration expand the emotional spectrum. Paper, flowers, sculptural props and drawn interventions extend each feeling beyond the body, transforming interior states into visual landscapes.
Color becomes language.
Feet become verbs.
In a world that often feels visually and emotionally saturated with darkness, this project chooses chromatic presence, not as denial, but as quiet defiance.
Because sometimes the smallest act of resistance is simply this: to place one foot in front of the other, in color.

DEEP PURPLE - Stand in Someone Else’s Shoes
Purple turns inward.
It invites us to pause and shift perspective.
To stand in someone else’s shoes is to momentarily step outside our own point of view, in a small act of imagination that opens the door to empathy.
