When Craig Klein picks up the trombone, class is officially in session šŗš
Students from Samuel J. Green Charter School got a front row seat to a solo from the one and only Craig Klein at Preservation Hall! Passing it on, one note at a time.

Midnight Preserves is Preservation Hallās annual fundraiser supporting our education and outreach programs. The evening brings together musicians, supporters, and friends of the Hall for a late-night celebration rooted in the traditions of New Orleans.
Ā
Funds raised support programs that connect generations of musicians, expand access to music education, and sustain the cultural traditions that Preservation Hall has championed for more than sixty years.
The roof came off at Midnight Preserves when The Black Keys brought out āYou Got To Loseā from their new record, Peaches! ā joined by Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Ivan Neville.āØ
Every note played at Midnight Preserves helps support the Preservation Hall Foundation and our Pass It On campaign: connecting generations of musicians, expanding access to music education, and carrying forward the cultural traditions that have lived inside Preservation Hall for more than 60 years.
When we come together, we can do so much more!
Lake Street Dive and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band remind us of that in this special version of "With a Little Help from My Friends."
While Midnight Preserves is over, your support still drives our mission to connect generations of musicians, expand access to music education, and sustain the cultural traditions that Preservation Hall has championed for more than sixty years. Link in bio to make a difference.
Workshop 2 of the Ask me to remember series is this coming Thursday May 14th from 6:15 - 8:15.
āask me to rememberā is a community-centered, multi-phase archiving workshop series.
A collaborative workshop series by LEDE New Orleans and the Preservation Hall Foundation, an invitation to explore memory, community archiving and the preservation of stories and cultural legacies.
Rooted in collective storytelling and shared stewardship, this multiphase series is designed to support participants in learning conceptual, technical, and hands-on tools for building and caring for community archives.
In our second session we will come together to create and navigate the steps of building and preserving digital archives.

Midnight Preserves - Night Seven: Too much brilliance for one night! Fabulous collaborative sets from Teddy Swims, River Eckert, Miss Irma Thomas, and Rickie Lee Jones.
First time playing at Preservation for the 16-year-old piano maestro River āThe Day Tripperā Eckert, and he was sitting about two feet away from where we shot his album cover (which he designed himself!).
