I want to thank each and every person associated with Transistor for believing in me. You guys are superb. I feel blessed that I got the maddest, the most hard working and passionate souls to create this. I'm so grateful to each one of you who made this possible. I've always believed that a film gets it's soul from the people who work on it, who are involved in the process of creating it and today I feel blessed that I have such colourful and creative minds around me who inspired me, pushed me, supported me, loved me and helped me make this possible. Love you all. Today onwards, this film is not only ours but yours too. Do watch and let me know what you feel about it. *NOTE: The film ' TRANSISTOR' is now available on the Amazon Mini T.V. tab on the Amazon shopping app. It's something new in the new world. Watch it now! I never imagined that one day I would become a filmmaker, let alone that one of my film would feature a song sung by the legendary Padma Bhushan Sharda Sinha ji—whose music has been the soundtrack of our childhood. Her songs were so deeply woven into our lives that, as soon as the first notes played, we knew it was time for Chhath Puja to begin. Her voice, synonymous with tradition, always signaled the arrival of those special moments. It was during the Covid lockdown, when the world came to a standstill, and we were all confined to our homes, unable to travel. Our film Transistor was nearly complete—except for one missing piece: the song. After several months of waiting, it became clear that the film couldn’t be finished in isolation. We had to find a way to complete it, even in these trying times. Our music director, @praveshmallick Bhaiya, had sent the film to Sharda Sinha ji to review. After watching it, I spoke with her, and without any hesitation, she immediately agreed to sing the song for us. But there was a challenge—the pandemic was still in full force, and the lockdown made everything difficult. Despite the odds, we refused to give up. We came up with a plan to record the song remotely. Our local team was sent to her home (Patna), where they set up a makeshift recording studio in one of her room. Meanwhile, Parvesh ji was in Mumbai, and I was in Delhi. Through technology, we stayed connected, collaborating from different cities. And that’s how the beautiful song came to life, despite all the hurdles. When we spoke about the film, Sharda ji expressed how deeply she felt about it. She praised the spirit of the story and the emotions it carried. And then, with her characteristic warmth and grace, she blessed us in her own unique style, saying, “Bauaa, khub sundar-sundar film banab.” Her words, full of love and blessings, not only brought us strength but also filled us with a sense of assurance that we were on the right path. I bow to you with heartfelt gratitude, Sharda ji. May God bless your beautiful soul with eternal peace ॐ शान्ति 🙏🏻
