What is PREDICTION CYCLE??? The core of Prediction Cycle is the idea of collaborative creation of art that brings together traveling artists, local artists, attendees, and unique locations to all be a part of the inspiration. It is a unique celebration of the artistic process and the beauty of impermanence and imperfection in art. An island of raw creation in a sea of AI and computer generated musical ‘products’. 5 artists creating original music live in the moment, for the moment. We are not just artists performing a show for the people in a place. The people and place are a part of the show providing inspiration and live feedback for the creative process while we inspire each other as we collaborate and create with the audience as an active participant in the soundtrack of their night. Thank you to everyone who came out for the debut of my new @predictioncycle project. These events will feature different line ups of invited collaborators for each event. I was thrilled to be joined for the inaugural event by @craigheneveld @josef_anders11 and @pressure_ritual for four hours of creative collaboration writing music from scratch in the moment for the moment. No prepared tracks, no AI, no laptops. Only a raw spontaneous techno journey. A prediction cycle is an iterative process that begins with an educated guess (prediction) about a future outcome, the actual result is observed, then that feedback is used to refine the model or understanding for the next prediction, common in learning (predict-compare-feedback) and data science (forecasting/modeling). It’s about using past data to anticipate future events, with each new cycle improving accuracy by incorporating new information and correcting past errors. Improvised collaborative live performance is an artistic embodiment of prediction cycles where each note, sound, or rhythm inspires the next idea which inspires the next.
