It’s world humanitarian day, and this year’s celebration is about honoring women humanitarians and the role they play in making this world a better place.
~
A dear friend made this video for me with my favorite song. “I was here” and my favorite verse is “ THE HEARTS I’VE TOUCHED WILL BE THE PROOF THAT I LIVED”. ~
Didn’t think I will be posting this anytime soon but I’m glad it fits perfectly. Happy to celebrate with all the awesome women humanitarians all over the world doing amazing good and impacting lives.
Happy World Humanitarian Day sisters!

The frequent and recent horrific abuses on women, especially young girls is absurd and unimaginable. What is happening to the hearts of some men in our society and what exactly is anyone's excuse for raping, killing, and hurting a woman? Our men have always been seen as protectors but some are failing us immensely and inflicting harm on a society that is greatly in need of more honorable men. .
Where did we fail as a society that is made up of governments, parents, teachers, spiritual leaders, siblings, neighbors and fellow human beings? We each have a responsibility to speak up and educate one another as well as hold people accountable for their words and actions. We need to trace our steps back to being our brother’s keeper. The saying that “it takes a village to raise a child” is not made up of mere words. It is a way of life that should be evident in and embraced by our society. Men ought to protect women not because they are related or connected in any way but because it is the right thing to do. Honor dictates that we do the right thing by others especially those young girls whose dreams are entrusted in our care. .
The world we are building for our children cannot be dominated by greed, selfishness, and hate as we have seen increase in recent times. Shame on all those whose actions and inaction are responsible for a society where the innocent are broken and destroyed both emotionally and physically. We will stand for what is right. We choose honor. We choose goodness. We choose love. We detest the actions of these men and seek justice for those living through pain each day. Evil will not win. Perfect love will always cast out fear. Together, the strengths of all honorable men and women are stronger and can help heal the land and put a stop to those who dishonor our lands and our people. .
To justify your humanity. “Do everything in love." 1 Corinthians 16:14. .

Last year, I had the opportunity to share a father-daughter reading journey with someone I have come to deeply value as a mentor and a father figure.
I found myself returning to one of the books we chose, Knowing God by J. I. Packer. It became both the book I ended the year with and the one I started this year with.
In reading, reflecting, and praying through it, one thing has become clear to me:
growth is not about perfection, it is about intentional pursuit.
And as I continue to grow, not just in faith but also in my professional journey, I am realising how deeply connected these paths are.
We are all works in progress.
In our careers, in our leadership, and in the work we care deeply about, there is always more to learn, more to refine, and more to become.
The experiences we embrace, the people who guide us, and the quiet moments of reflection all shape how we show up in the world.
For me, this season is about staying intentional, embracing growth, and allowing both faith and experience to guide my journey.
Still learning.
Still growing.
Always becoming.
What is shaping you in this season? #FaithAndWork #Living #WorksInProgress #PurposeDriven #Becoming
Some days, the world feels loud.
The news, the pressure, the disappointments, the unanswered prayers, the things you did not see coming. It can all sit on your chest at once.
You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to look away from what is draining you.
You are allowed to breathe without guilt.
You are allowed to choose softness, even when life feels hard. You are allowed to just breathe.
Giving yourself permission for peace does not mean you are ignoring life.
It means you are protecting your mind, your heart, and your spirit so you can keep showing up with strength and clarity.
So if you have been carrying too much,
Unclench your jaw.
Release the heaviness.
Step back from what steals your joy.
Return to what restores you.
Peace is not a reward you earn after everything is fixed.
Peace is a decision you make, one moment at a time.
Choose peace.
Choose you.
Breathe.
Live.

Lately, I’ve found strength meditating on two scriptures.
- Luke 17:6 — “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”
- John 15:7 — “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!
Luke 17:6 reminds me that God isn’t asking for perfect or extraordinary faith, just a mustard seed kind of faith. Even when my motivation slips, that little faith is enough to move mountains.
John 15:7 teaches that answered prayers depend on two conditions: remain in Him, and let His Word remain in us. His Word gives me something solid to declare in both challenges and victories. I’ve learned not only to use Scripture when I’m in need, but also when I’m rejoicing, to thank and celebrate God with His promises.
So I return to the Bible not only for comfort in trials but also for joy in triumphs. I’m learning to live by His Word with expectation, knowing that whether in lack or abundance, in sorrow or joy, even the smallest seed of faith can still work wonders.
May this season, and the days beyond it, continue to remind us of the Lords grace and truth.
I hope you all enjoyed a festive celebration. Wishing you a purposeful and prosperous New Year.

Every girl deserves a world that sees her, not just for what she is, but for who she can become.
Too many girls still grow up silenced, unseen, or struggling to believe their voice matters. Yet within every girl lies resilience, brilliance, and the power to lead change, if only we nurture it.
As a nonprofit founder and as a woman, I’ve seen firsthand that when a girl is supported through education, mentorship, career and economic empowerment, and off course love, she becomes a ripple of transformation.
At @ngotrueidentity , this is what we fight for daily: a world where girls are not only protected, but prepared to thrive. Where their voices are not only heard, but amplified.
To every girl reading this, your life is purposeful, your dreams are valid, and your voice is needed. Keep shining. You’re a Star!✨

During our Founder’s Birthday Fundraiser, we shared her annual tradition of dedicating her birthday to a charitable cause. This year, her goal was to set up a fully equipped classroom for secondary school students, with a fundraising target of $5,000.
We are happy to announce that the fundraiser raised $4,727 for the initiative!
We are incredibly grateful to our close-knit community of friends and supporters who came together to make this possible. On behalf of our Founder, and the entire organization, we say a heartfelt thank you.
Thank you for believing in this vision, for giving so generously, and for being part of something impactful. We look forward to setting up the classroom and sharing the transformation your contribution has made possible, One that will serve students for years to come.
Thank you once again, and may God bless you richly.

I woke up today with a heart full of thanksgiving, reflecting on the incredible journey of this young woman, one of our own from the Women Read Academy Program @ngotrueidentity . Against all odds, through thick and thin, she has pushed boundaries and risen above limitations to pursue her dreams.
As a society, we should do better to uplift and support young people who are striving to create a better future for themselves.
You did it, Salome!
As you celebrate your call to the Bar today, our prayer is that you continue to break barriers and walk boldly into every purpose God has for you. We are incredibly proud of all you’ve accomplished, and we know this is just the beginning.
Congratulations! Many more milestones ahead. 💫 #CallToBar #JusticeServed #WomenInLaw #TIPAI #WomenEmpowerment #TheFutureIsFemale #LawGrad #ProudMoment
Happy July 4th! 🇺🇸
Freedom is more than a celebration, it’s about creating space for every person to live with dignity, purpose, and hope. It’s about lifting others up, standing for justice, and choosing love over fear.
As we celebrate today, may we also commit to building a world where freedom doesn’t just belong to some, but is truly felt by all.
Let’s be the kind of people who make others feel seen, safe, and supported.
💙 Here’s to freedom, compassion, and meaningful impact—one life at a time.

As I walked past a garden of flowers, someone asked me, “What’s your favourite flower and why?”
Without hesitation, I said “roses, because they represent love, affection, passion and the heart.” If you know me, you know I’m all about the pursuit of loving and being loved: intentionally, unconditionally, and passionately.
To me, love is about pouring into others so fully that it overflows, spreading warmth and creating a ripple effect. My vision is a society where love isn’t rare or earned, but deeply rooted and generously given.
But as I spoke, passionately—like a child calling for her mother—I was gently prompted to look around. And for the first time, I truly saw the other flowers. Vibrant, delicate, bold, wild… each with its own story, beauty, and contribution to the garden.
In my devotion to roses, I had missed the lilies, the sunflowers, the lavender, the gladiolus, the crown imperial—all quietly enriching the world in their own way.
That day, something shifted in me.
I still love roses, and all they stand for. But now, I’m intentionally learning about the other flowers— seeing the light they carry, the meaning they hold, and the spaces they beautifully fill. Just like people.
Because the most breathtaking bouquets aren’t made of roses alone. They’re a carefully arranged blend of many flowers, each bringing a unique texture, colour, and fragrance.
Like humans, we are diverse. We bloom in different seasons. We show up in different ways. Just as each flower has a purpose, each person carries something deeply meaningful to offer.
So here’s my gentle reminder:
Learn and appreciate diversity. Life is too short to only love roses. 💐
