After an awesome gig at @easternbloc_ in MCR a couple of weeks ago, @inspiredsoundz aka Steve Lipscombe & I are heading to the bar that's been making a real name for itself recently, namely @overdraughtmcr this Fri 20th Feb, where it's a @precinct_djs takeover. Two decks & a mixer, all vinyl, all night from 7pm through to 1am. Deep house (the proper stuff), techy business, acid house, old, new, whatever we want to play, essentially. Charles Webster has provided an endless supply of exquisite deepness for more than two decades now, in his own name and various guises, including Love From San Francisco, Presence, DJ Profile & Furry Phreaks. His influence on me has been massive, his work featuring in my sets pretty much constantly for years on end. I've recorded a 2 + half hour vinyl mix of his work in all the above guises, both original tracks & remixes by Charles, showcasing just why he remains as one of the finest purveyors of all things deep, which you can find at the 3am Recordings Soundcloud page, under the 'tracks' section.
