“I’m trying to find a place with peace. And if not, then let’s fill it with mayhem.” - Roddy Piper
The last time I made a post like this was last summer in July, I was at 35 individual sets logged, I am now at 61. The funny thing about this industry is the chaos that comes with it; you’ll have everything from shooting to the tiniest cabin in the woods you’ve ever seen, filming commercials that never see the light of day, going to set with one hour of sleep, filming wrestling events, trying to make an impromptu music video, making your acting debut by pushing a car, filming a dance battle in a bar, knocking out five projects back to back in a single BNB, accidentally become a goat wrangler, build a last minute dolly, trying to get your friend’s car out of mud, and having the worst storm ever take away your shooting day. But amongst all that chaos, something amazing comes out of it. I never would’ve imagined I would have something beautiful to call my own, now I have
@CineTexUSA with Manny. We played Break Even to three different showcases, and won an audience award at our school. The first of many, but none of the blessings in film ever come easy. So you gotta embrace the chaos sometimes. I can’t wait to share more film stories in the future, but until then…
Happy Easter 🥚
