With over seven years of experience, Ruth has built an impressive career in corporate and strategic communications, digital marketing, content development, social media management and brand positioning. She is a passionate advocate for transformational leadership, professional growth and women’s empowerment. Her leadership journey has been strengthened through the Female Future Leadership Program and Malkia leadership courses, and her commitment to empowering women and girls continues through her work toward establishing the Ot Me Gen Foundation in Nwoya District. #NewMemberAlert: PRAU Welcomes Dennis Abigaba Kakonge as a New Member The Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) is delighted to warmly welcome Dennis Abigaba Kakonge as a new member of the Association. Mr. Kakonge currently serves as the General Manager, Corporate Services and Company Secretary at MTN Mobile Money Uganda Limited, bringing to PRAU a distinguished career in corporate governance, legal affairs, regulatory leadership, and strategic management. With extensive experience across Uganda’s telecommunications and financial services sectors, he has previously held senior leadership positions at both MTN Uganda and Airtel Uganda, where he served as Company Secretary and Legal/Regulatory Director, overseeing subsidiaries and affiliate companies. His professional journey began at the esteemed law firm Byenkya, Kihika & Co. Advocates. An accomplished legal and corporate professional, Mr. Kakonge holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Makerere University, a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and a member of both the Uganda Law Society and the East Africa Law Society. As PRAU, we are PRAU-d to associate and welcome a professional of his calibre into our growing network of communication, corporate affairs, and leadership practitioners.
