Spotted Talent at Milan 2026 - @prange.maxime
At Alcova, Maxime Prangé presents ‘Washi No Akari’ within a site-specific installation, exploring light as a threshold between interior and exterior, day and night.
Working with washi paper and walnut, his pieces draw from Japanese architectural and spiritual references, where light becomes a medium to shape atmosphere and perception.
Rather than functioning as objects alone, the works create luminous landscapes, translating subtle emotional states into spatial experiences.
Positioned between installation and lighting design, Prangé’s practice turns light into a material that structures both space and sensation.

Horizon - Recherches 2026
Tout ce temps passé à scruter l'horizon,
J'aurais pu le rejoindre, au moins l'approcher.
Terre en vue, la mer brille, les voiles sont levées,
J'aurais déjà dû l'atteindre de mille façons.
Encore une saison, après l'été, après l'hiver,
J'aurais vu se peindre toutes les couleurs.

Horizon - Recherches 2025
Chaque été on s'échappe dans les reliefs, au sud de la Bourgogne.
Les forêts y sont hautes et sombres, les champs moissonés brillent au zénith et quelques flaques d'eau suffisent à amuser les braves hollandais.
On vadrouille entre villages et chateaux en oubliant bien vite l'urgence du monde.
Oh ! un fleuve.
Horizon - Recherches 2025
Du petit travers à Saint-Roch, c'est un sentier bien tassé que je sillone chaque année.
C'est mon sud, celui des mers blanches et des soirs embrasés.
J'ai beau lui préférer la montagne, ces couleurs là n'y sont pas ailleurs pareil.
