In a recent interview I was tasked to conceptualize, shoot, edit & produce a video showcasing a day in my life.
So, I captured a day in my life, showcasing the emptiness and loneliness I feel. Instead of projecting my loneliness through myself on screen, I captured my 'mindspace' through the 'physical space' I inhabit. I used static shots to convey the stillness of my life, and day-to-day objects to illustrate my yearning for human connection. Through this process, I learned how to exhibit a person's emotional state without ever showing them on screen. I have learned to use mundane objects and routines to reveal what the subject truly feels.
Note: I chose the concept of loneliness to flush my aesthetics, not to reflect what I actually feel!
