Born in Madrid and now based in Paris, she approaches painting less as a way to explain the world and more as a way to process it. Trained in the restoration and conservation of old paintings, she works with images that seem to appear and dissolve at the same time — figures, gestures and bodies that never fully settle. Retreat An exhibition by Lorena Infantes Prada and Winnie Mo Rielly is on view at Essais “The works of the painter and the sculptor proceed from a shared effacement of singularities, where the individual fades behind an imposed function. From one work to another, the exhibition unfolds as a passage through shades of grey, opening windows where appearance however tenuous, persists as a horizon — whether emerging at the edge of a dislocated costume or within the gaze of a naked army. ESSAIS is pleased to present Retreat, an duo exhibition of new works by Lorena Infantes Prada and Winnie Mo Rielly @prain___________ @winniemorielly February 20, 2026 – March 21, 2026 Opening reception: February 20, 6–9 PM 57 Boulevard de la Villette, 75010 Paris Winnie Mo Rielly (born in 1993 in London) lives and works in Paris. She graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2020 and from École Duperré in 2016. Her work has been exhibited at Galerie Balice Hertling, Galerie Pal Projects, Château La Coste, Les Rencontres d’Arles, Maison Chaumet, Fondation Fiminco, and FRAC Île-de-France / Les Réserves. Her first institutional solo exhibition will open in June 2026 at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) in Paris. Her works are included in collections such as Maison Dior, Société Générale, Maison Chaumet, and FRAC Île-de-France. Lorena Infantes Prada (born in 1988 in Madrid) lives and works in Paris. She graduated in 2013 with a degree in Restoration and Conservation of Quattrocento Painting in Madrid. Her work has been shown at the Musée d’Art Contemporain de Montréal, New York Life Gallery (NYC), Bronx Art Space (NYC), Goswell Road (Paris), The New Gallery (Paris), and Fitzpatrick Gallery (Paris).
