As changes to Medicaid take effect, the care you receive at our health centers could be impacted.
At Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio, we are doing everything we can to continue providing high-quality, compassionate care for as many patients as possible. Because everyone should be able to access the care they need from a provider they trust.
Learning about relationships and sexual health is just one part of a well-rounded education 📚 Young people have the right to receive the information and skills they need to protect their health. That includes comprehensive, inclusive, and medically accurate sex education 💪✨ #SexEdForAll

Today was an amazing day. Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio hosted the Dayton Lunch where we instituted the first Jan Rudd Advocacy Award given to Maureen Lynch. Both of these women are fearless advocates for abortion access. In their footsteps I learned how to fight for sexual reproductive health. Our Board Chair Lisa Hanauer had the vision for this event and over 400 people in Dayton came together to show Courage through Action. Jan's children Gordon and Susan Rudd came in from Minneapolis to present the award to Maureen. Our amazing staff and volunteers put on a flawless event. I continue to be grateful to get to do this important work alongside some badass women. And please, tell your Planned Parenthood story. It matters.

We closed out Black Maternal Health Week with a very special "Nourishing the Soul that Serves" event — a day of mindful pause alongside 22 Black women leaders across clinical care, education, research, policy, advocacy, social services and more.
We made space for breath, for rest, for the kind of restoration that is too often denied to those who serve. A grounding sound bath in nature. A truth-telling conversation about the state of Black women’s health. A table that nourished the body, and a circle that nourished something deeper — communion.
We're returning to the work with a renewed sense of clarity and collective ambition. Together we will continue to improve health outcomes for Black women across Southwest Ohio.
Thanks to our generous sponsors who made this event possible:
Dr. Michael Privitera & Dr. Marcia Kaplan
The Health Path Foundation
Dr. Melvin Gravely II & Dr. Chandra Gravely
UC HEART Hub Research Lab
Kiana Trabue
Addressing the disparities in Black maternal health requires systemic change and support from all of us. This #BMHW, we are proud to celebrate the strength and resilience of the Black Mamas who are pushing us toward a better future — one where health equity and Reproductive Justice are a reality. 💙
