originally wasn’t going to do a recap as 2025 was probably one of the roughest years of my life, but looking back at my camera roll reminded me of all the beautiful moments i completely forgot this year held. 2025 was definitely a threshold year for me. there were moments of deep pain and grief that surfaced, but they ultimately brought me closer to myself. those moments reshaped how i now move through the world, guiding me toward the person i’m becoming and the version of myself i need to be. i learned how to hold both strength and tenderness at the same time, that life doesn’t have to be dramatic to be meaningful, and that everything i seek already exists within me. the hardships of 2025 weren’t what i expected or wanted, but sitting here on the last day of the year, i can now see that they were exactly what i needed in order to reconnect with myself and remember who i am at my core. in terms of further evolving pots of joie, i feel like this was more of a slower season for me and although i feel guilt around that, i think its actually what my soul needed the most.
thank you so much for still being here during my 2025!! cheers to 2026 and hopefully it’s less traumatic 😀🥰
my favorite dessert 🤝 matcha
🌟 recipe 🌟
syrup:
-one ripe banana
-1 tbsp butter
-2 tbsp brown sugar
-1 tbsp white sugar
-2 tbsp water
cream top:
-2 oz heavy whipping cream
-1.5 tbsp banana mash
-2 tbsp condensed milk
matcha base (12 oz cup):
-4 oz milk of choice
-3 grams matcha (using @themaisonmatcha ) + 1 oz hot water
-1 to 2 tbsp turon syrup (adjust to sweetness preference)
directions:
for the syrup, add butter and banana slices to a pan on med low to low heat. after the butter melts add the sugars and water. let it bubble and caramelize for a few minutes until bananas soften and stir then remove from stove and cool. next put syrup through a fine mesh sieve and keep the banana mash that’s left over. for the cream top, add heavy whipping cream, condensed milk, and the left over banana mash and whisk until thick but still slightly runny. combine the matcha base with syrup and top with the turon cream and you’re done! 🤎🍌
