Sessions will run 10.00-17.00 Tuesday to Sunday, each day will include morning discussions on various themes surrounding posthumanism and plenty of time for creative work in the afternoon.
You may choose to work on a new or an existing project that fits the values of the symposium. You can work alone or with other members of the ensemble, it is up to you.
Our background is in theatre and performance however we welcome applications from all artistic disciplines including but not limited to dance, spoken word, music, visual arts, etc.
We believe that a positive future depends on decentering cultural hegemonies and elevating voices that have been silenced, therefore we encourage applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds to apply. Especially keen to hear from first generation migrants, those who identify as D/deaf or disabled and people of the global majority.

✨Our Scratch Night tonight is a fundraising event✨
We are looking to raise £1500 for our first Posthuman Symposium happening at the end of August 2021 at Forest Forge Theatre Company.
We are passionate about ensuring that artists are not out of pocket when participating in events such as these and so this money will pay for the travel and accommodation of the artists involved in the project. Reaching our target will enable us to put on our first Posthuman Symposium in August 2021. Any money raised over the target will go directly to paying the artists who are involved.
This Symposium will bring artists together to create discussions about the future of our planet and the future of humanity. The result being performances and installations in response to these discussions; showcasing a better future based on each artist's perspectives on how best to move forward.
We are so excited to have so many amazing artists on board already. As part of our fundraising we are going live on Twitch TONIGHT at 6PM with some brilliant Posthuman Performances. This is a Scratch Night of pieces created by various artists of all disciplines who have kindly donated their time to help us raise some funds.
If you cannot catch the live stream, the full line up will be available on youtube for a week afterwards. So please come along and see what we get up to! Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
