The real impact of plastic bag litter is felt on wildlife both in the marine environment and in rural areas. Tens of thousands of whales, birds, seals and turtles are killed every year from plastic bag litter in the marine environment as they often mistake plastic bags for food such as jellyfish. Plastic bags, once ingested, cannot be digested or passed by an animal so it stays in the gut. Plastic in an animal’s gut can prevent food digestion and can lead to a very slow and painful death. As plastic bags can take up to 1,000 years to break down, once an animal dies and decays after ingesting plastic, the plastic is then freed back into the marine environment to carry on killing other wildlife. #wildlife #plasticpollution #animals #wild #humanity #humannature #andamanislands #post #blogger #blogging #indiablog

Malaria and other water-borne diseases were responsible for a number of deaths specially of infants in Andaman Nicobar Islands. Hence the British thought it necessary to have a distilling plant and mineral water plant to produce pure water for drinking in 18th Century. #untouchedparadise #andamanislands #roseisland #tourism #indiatravelgram #indiatourism

Hitler’s record describes him as a ‘Catholic’, an ‘Artist’ and a ‘Messenger (bike rider) for the Regiment’, whose role was to carry messages back and forth from the command staff to the units near the battlefield. His detailed injuries include ‘lightly wounded at Le Barque by an artillery grenade in the thigh’ in October 1916 and ‘gassed at La Montagne, taken to hospital’ in October 1918. His record also shows that he was awarded five medals, decorations and other awards, including the Iron Cross twice – 1st and 2nd Class.* German Army Jager (light infantry) battalions each had a bicycle company (Radfahr-Kompanie) at the outbreak of the war, and additional companies were raised during the war bringing the total to 80 companies, a number of which were formed into eight Radfahr-Bataillonen (bicycle battalions). In its aftermath, the German Army conducted a study on the use of the cycle and published its findings in a report entitled Die Radfahrertruppe. The Germans needed to mobilise vast amounts of troops during WW1, and bicycles were used wherever possible. As you can see from these photos, the majority were not accessorised with military fittings like the British machines. With much larger troop numbers, any available bicycle was used by the military. A poetic chair - This gothic-style armchair carved with thistles celebrates the work of the Scottish poet Robert Burns (1759-96). It was made by John Underwood of Ayr from a portion of the roof of the old Kirk of Alloway, Ayrshire; Burns was born in Alloway in 1759, in a cottage close to the old Kirk. By the time that Burns was at the height of his fame, the Kirk had become a ruin and the timbers of the roof were used to make a number of Burns-related memorabilia and souvenirs. The back of the chair is inlaid with four brass panels engraved with Burns’s celebrated poem Tam O’Shanter, written in 1790. The Kirk is the setting for much of the poem, in which Tam, on returning drunk from market in Ayr, sees witches and warlocks dancing and the devil playing the bagpipes in the Kirk. They give chase and pull off the tail of Tam’s horse, Meg. The reverse of the back of the chair is painted with Tam riding his horse. This chair was presented to George IV in 1822, the year of his visit to Scotland, and was received at Carlton House shortly after his return. Another similar chair was presented to the 13th Earl of Eglinton and Winton in 1818 by David Auld (sold at Sotherby's, New York, 1 February 1992, lot 271). What Hampi taught me? From the time I went to Hampi, I felt this place is somehow connects with life. But I was wondering how? Even the trip to Hampi inspired me to write my first ever micro tale. Hampi is a kind of place where you can find people who has to work hard for their daily bread and people who comes there to chill. Hampi can be divided into two parts the ruined one and the one across Tungabhadra river. Have you ever imagined Hampi as a place which takes you to a trance level?? Hmmm…. Probably not. So, travellers might have the chances to miss the other face of Hampi which is “The Hippie Island”. It is a place packed of vibes which makes you forget who you were and who are you going to be. Alternatively, we can say it will insist you to live that present moment. You can ask me what is there to relate this with life. Similar to Hampi life has two phases. One pulls you towards history which reminds you how it was then and the other on pulls you to the trance world where nothing bothers you anymore, it is just you as “YOU”. The choice is ours. Yes, Hampi is more than ruins, boulders and history. #hampi #hampiruins #travel #trance #lifestyle #nature #india #hampiisland #hampidiaries #travelphotography #travelindia #exploreindia #indiaculture #indianculture #worldtravel #traveler #explorer #exploreworld #nooksandcorners #worldtrip #trippy #trancelovers #trippie #astateoftrance #hippie #hippieisland

Daulatabad fort: Today I will talk over about a building which mesmerised me recently.  Majority of the Indian people will fantasise about visiting Taj Mahal once in their life time. But the fact is there are many other heritage buildings or places which has brilliant planning and techniques than Taj Mahal. Daulatabad fort is one among them.  I’ll give you a short glimpse about the location and history of the fort. It is located 15km away from Aurangabad on the way to Elora caves. It was built by Yadava king around 1187. It is also one of the most powerful forts of the Medieval deccan.  Interesting Facts: It is built on a 200 meters high conical hill. The whole hill was carved or cut it down to shape it in a conical form. So, that even a well-versed mountain climber can’t climb this slippery and steeped hill. There are no separate entry and exit. The only way of access to the fort is through a narrow bridge which is sufficient for only two people. It is a complex which has Stepped well, Andheri, Minar, Temples, Mosques and 10 rock cut caves. Andheri (dark passage) is the most interesting part. It has many twists and turns just like a maze (a trap set for enemy). These twists lead to a window who on entering it tumbles down the moat below. Massive walls, Mazes, deep cut wet and dry moats, trenches, spikes on the gate and there are many other techniques and traps which have been used for their defence will make you dumbstruck. I would say this fort is the live example which shows us the history in a better way. #daulatabadfort #dauladabad #aurangabad #travel #traveldairies #daulatabad #daulatabaddiaries #travelfreak #elora #travelphotography #travelgram #travelindia #explorepage #exploreindia #aurangabaddiaries #triptoremember #aurangabad_beats #daulatabadfort🏰 #travelblogger #blogger #bloggeroninstagram #blog #travelblog #india #people_and_world

Human Kind : Could a person be more emotional than an old lady frights about her own death? Today I’m going to discuss a thing from the perspectives of two persons a girl in her 20’s and an old lady her grandmother probably in her 80’s. Due to some personal issues they weren’t sharing a good bond. One night the old lady got a news that her close friend died by heart attack and all she could do is wander here and there. Suddenly, at mid night she asked her granddaughter to fetch her some water. Later she began to prattle about her days with her friend. The girl understood that her grandmother was in melancholy, so she decided to listen her. Eventually, she started observing her emotion. An 80-year-old lady, the wrinkles filled face and those watery eyes with an endless emotion told million stories than her words did. Anyone can clearly see, how the old lady was in anxiety about her death at that time. Though the girl hated her personally, she couldn’t resist the emotion she got at that point. The girl thought of hugging her grandmother for a support. But she got stuck between her mind and heart. Her mind thinks about the evil things her grandmother did to her whereas her heart says to be a human. After a terrific war between heart and mind. She gave her grandmother a tight hug and kiss. Now the wrinkled eyes were about to let the tears out. Simultaneously she smiled and asked why she hugged her? Apart from all the anger and hater the girl had for her grandmother, she supported her when she was in need. That is the reflection of humanity. May be that one hug and kiss changes the whole relationship they are sharing for many years or may be every human deserves some support at a particular point. “Try to be a human whenever and wherever you can be” #humanity #humankind #homosapiens #kindness #humanityfirst #humanrace #humanist #humanesociety #humanblog #instabloggers #instablogging #humanity_shots #humanist #humanityhealing #humanityfirst #humanism #humaninlife #india #people_and_world

Hello Peeps! The first post of this page would be about the fourth most common crime against women in India “RAPE”. Let’s start with the statistics. According to the NCRB 4,15,786 rape cases were reported in the time period of 2001 – 2017. On average of 67 women a day. So, now I want to discuss few things. Everywhere you can notice that some discussion or debate will outset whenever this thing happens. Some people will heartlessly complain a girl or a woman about her dressings or her character. I think no one in this world has a right to judge someone and I believe apart from genders every HUMAN BEING must be treat with a respect. First of all, I want to blame media, cinema or whatever who pomp women as a sexual objectification. Of course, I want to rebuke the people who is encouraging that. Will you imagine a girl or a lady from your family in place of that girl who is entertaining you? Yes, Women have boobs, So? It doesn’t mean you have to proclaim it as a sexual object. Society never failed to teach girls about good touch and bad touch. Always they will dump all the cultural norms on girl’s head. Yes, it is very important to raise a girl child with a good cultural norm. But it is equally important to teach your son how to respect a woman. Unless and until you teach your son, you can't expect a change in the society. Please note: Purity and Impurity are depends on character and not on virginity. #rapevictim #women #rapesurvivor #sexeducation #rapist #postfusion #india #indianwomen #womenabuse #indian #indiawomens #womenempowerment #indiansociety #indianculture #indiangirls
