NEW RELEASE / NOUVEAUTÉ: @postfunmusic - “Change Your Mind” (Single)
✍️…
Acadian Embassy welcomes Halifax’s POSTFUN to the family. A band that seamlessly melds midwest emo, post-hardcore, and alt-country with a distinct Maritime authenticity, Postfun revels in delivering infectious live energy, a love for storytelling, and unconventional takes on indie rock conventions.
“Change Your Mind,” a brand new single available to stream & buy today, embodies this eclectic yet steadfast approach. Stitching together thick guitar riffs, warbly, chorus-drenched motifs, and anthemic sing-a-longs anchored by falsetto vocals, “Change Your Mind” explores the quiet tension between comfort and risk.
Reflecting on how routines that once felt safe can slowly become suffocating, and how difficult it can be to break free from patterns that no longer serve us, the track wrestles with the courage it takes to step into uncertainty and ask someone, or yourself, to choose a different path.
The single tees up a new EP from the band, Hunting Music, out on May 22.

We’re excited to officially announce our partnership with @acadianembassy
A new chapter for Postfun. More music, more shows, and a whole lot more time with brother Trevor 🥰
Grateful to be building this together

Over the past 8 months i’ve learned a lot
about myself, my habits, my head, a new city
Hamilton’s a weird place
steel, waterfalls, rough edges
feels a bit like Halifax used to 10 years ago
or Sydney, CB
or something in between
It’s got that thing
where it doesn’t look like much from the outside
but there’s a lot going on underneath
Like a speak-easy tavern that looks closed on the outside, booming with life on the inside. It keeps pretentiousness out.
I think i needed that
It’s strange being in your late 20s
trying to build something in a new place
realizing how much of your life used to rely on proximity
music’s been the constant
I was worried leaving would pull me away from it
from the band, from my loved ones
but it did the opposite
somehow i feel closer to Postfun now than I did before
working harder, more intentional
less distracted by things that don’t matter
maybe distance clears things up
Postfun took a break this year
it lasted about a week
we’ve been working
we have stuff to share
thanks for sticking around
