In part 4 of our retrospective series on Whatever Keeps You From It, we sat down with Adam to discuss his favourite track on the album.
With his five-string bass, Adam delivers both crushing low-end power and the infectious funky grooves that grab our ears. Many of our wacky time signatures can be attributed to Adam's creativity. As for his favourite track...
"If I really *have* to pick a favourite, I gotta go with Reverie.
When I first joined POSTE, most of WAKEUP and Scooby were already written, and there were already some riffs ready that would later become CRI. I instantly clicked with the music and quickly found my place in the band as I wrote all the bass lines and helped with completing CRI.
Reverie was the first song we actually wrote from scratch as a full band. It helped me understand what influences everyone brings to the table, and it really defined our eclectic sound and 'whatever sounds cool' writing attitude.
@ahodges_music and @liam.d.england 's lyrics are raw and emotive, the music is catchy and heavy, and it's an absolute blast to play. It's something I couldn't have imagined being able to make before joining POSTE, and I'm very proud to have been a part of it."

In part 3 of our retrospective series on our debut album, Whatever Keeps You From It, we asked Ryan about his favourite track.
Ryan serves as POSTE's care bear of the snare, providing the foundation for sick riffs with his drum licks and double kicks.
Here's what he had to say:
"My favourite track from the record is Scooby, Don't! It perfectly captures our songwriting philosophy: If it's fun to play or sounds cool to us, then we do it. Sometimes, that means our parts can be a bit self-indulgent, and tracks can bounce from genre to genre, just for the hell of it.
What's really special to me is our method of throwing in random ideas, no matter how unconventional they might be for the genre. Whether it’s cross sticks over screaming or looping quarter notes in 7/8, we love surprising each other in the jam room.
At the end of the day, I'm just grateful to be combining our tastes together to make something new that all four of us enjoy. It makes it even more rewarding that listeners enjoy it, too."

In part 2 of our retrospective series on Whatever Keeps You From It, we asked Liam about his favourite track. One of POSTE's vocalist-guitarists, Liam's hard-hitting performances provide us with melodic vocals and intricate guitar work. And which track off the album is his favourite?
"My favourite song from Whatever Keeps You From It would have to be wkyfi. Though it’s the first track on the album, it was the last one we wrote before hitting the studio, and to me it really feels like a culmination of everything we'd done together up to that point.
When @ahodges_music and I first started jamming ideas for POSTE, we had been talking a lot about finding fulfillment—the obstacles that stop you from feeling it, and conversely, the spark that keeps you going when things get really hard; the things that keep you from despair, or from joy, and striking the balance between pursuing your goals and feeling satisfied with what’s in front of you.
It might be a little on-the-nose, but that was the inspiration for wkyfi, and I think it resonates through the album as a whole."
