Up next, as we share our 2026 FSF Finalists on-stage presentations: 2026 FSF Chairman’s Award Winner and Virgil Abloh™️ “Post-Modern” Scholar Kuan Jackson (@pckingkuan )! Kuan, originally from New Orleans, is currently studying Fashion Design and Merchandising as a junior at Clark Atlanta University. His winning Case Study “Build Different. Literally.” focuses on KidSuper and Lego collaborating to create an accessible digital design experience inspired by childhood creativity and playful nostalgia mixed with modular design and AI-powered technology.

Today we’re sharing more from our most recent “Post-Modern” Talk, “From Soles to Leadership,” where attendees heard from leaders in the footwear space. Thank you to Benjamin Peterson, Global Senior Director, Jordan Energy Relationships, Nike, for sharing these great insights with our audience, as well as this memory of Virgil Abloh:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“When I think about Virgil, one thing that really stood out was how he treated people. There was nobody too senior or too junior to be worthy or unworthy of his time. He treated everybody equally.”

This week, we’re excited to share one of the most important moments of #FSFLive: our FSF Finalists’ on-stage presentations! Each of our four Finalists had a chance to speak directly to the audience about how their paths had led them to that very moment at the Gala in NYC, and how their childhoods, educational journeys, and lifelong passions inspired their top-scoring Case Studies.
First up: Madison-Jade Bishop (@madisonjbishop ), a Drexel University senior whose Merchandising Case Study, “Redefining Comfort,” focused on Ugg and Marriott collaborating to create a new category of cozy luxury, merging comfort with world class hospitality. Watch as she shares how her childhood love of skating and her parents’ encouragement and support led her to the development of her Case Study, created to bridge the gap between how products are designed and how they’re experienced.

“I remember after one of his DJ sets, we had a conversation that stayed with me. He talked about not waiting for permission but just starting to build your ideas in public. That really shifted how I approached things.”
