Agricultural waste is an underused resource in material innovation. This Friday, 13 March, our Co-CEO & CTO @elsavparente will speak at the IFBEC–TEFLA Global BioTex Fashion & Circularity Summit 2026 in Gurugram, joining the panel: “From Farm to Fashion: Transforming Agricultural Waste into the Next Generation of Materials.” The discussion will explore how agricultural by-products can become viable inputs for future textile systems, and what it takes to scale these innovations. Stretch is everywhere, circularity isn’t. Yet. Elastane is present in around 80% of clothing. Even in small amounts, it disrupts textile recycling, limiting fibre-to-fibre recovery and leaving garments with few end-of-life options.
