“Prelims are the essence of partying”. In early THS years, Galen shared this wisdom with us and it’s been an inside joke ever since - repeated a million times in vans, clubs, and hotels all over the world during The Hold Steady’s 20 years as a band.
And we do believe that - indeed, Prelims are the essence of partying. So to kick off Positive Jam weekend, we are excited to announce the Positive Jam Prelims Pool Party. The evening of Friday, August 4, we will be hosting a special party at Inness in Accord, NY - a mere 10 minutes drive from Arrowood Farms.
The band will be doing a special storytellers set and also DJing some of their favorite songs (Most people are...etc.). You can also swim, play lawn games, hang out, see other members of the Unified Scene, etc. There will be food and drink available for purchase, and each ticket will also include an exclusive THS beach towel.
Come get Positive Jam started right and hang out for some Prelims with us at the pool. Sometimes the best parties start before the real party!
