Tarō Okamoto’s Tower of The Sun built for the World Expo 1970 🌞 I’ve been dying to visit this site for a very long time and it was even better than I could have imagined. Inspired doesn’t even begin to describe what it was like to see this monument up close in all its glory 🌚 すごいですね!?
Dream come true… @harrokennedy & I have been massive fans of @hassanhajjaj_larache work for almost a decade after first seeing his pieces in a gallery in Dubai years ago. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have the honor of collaborating with Hassan but in 2018 the algorithms of instagram led us to one another and we created a range of eyewear which launched in 2020 (we just restocked last month due to their ongoing success!) cut to 2024 to having our portraits shot by Hass - in his home city of Marrakech - to bringing this marvelous piece which has such an incredible stack of memories behind it home to Aus. It’s one thing to aspire to own a piece by your favourite artist but to be a subject in their work… Honestly beside myself with joy! 🖼️ a few lil #bts snaps of this unforgettable day in Morocco that I’ll treasure along with this portrait forever ❤️

more than 10 years ago when I closed my first retail store in Claremont (RIP Poppy Lissiman Addition) to go solely online I said to myself I’d never do bricks and mortar again. Mainly because it was so incredibly hard juggling my label with running a physical store - I’m very lucky to now have grown and have the team today to make this a reality. A few months ago we gradually started converting the front of our Fremantle head office into a place you can try on and shop our pieces IRL. This space is designed to not just be a window into the guts of our operation - behind the velvet curtain you’ll find us all humming around - but an extension of what inspires me.
Even though I’ve been (for lack of a better term) FIFO from Fremantle for the last 10 years (living in Sydney & Tokyo) it has always been the home of my brand. The brand was born in my bedroom in North Freo in 2008 and after I closed my Claremont boutique years later I moved to a Harry Potter sized storage cupboard just around the corner on Market Street Freo which I gradually outgrew til we took this stunning ex-bank building on High Street 4 years ago.
