Friends, I am grateful to officially introduce myself as the Founder and Chief Culinary Artist of POPPA Field Table.
For over two decades, food has been my life’s work.
I’ve spent years in high-volume kitchens, fine dining restaurants, institutional food service, private clubs, and casino environments — working my way through the traditional hierarchy of the culinary world under titles like Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, and Culinary Director.
And while I am grateful for every lesson those spaces gave me, somewhere along the journey I realized something:
I no longer wanted to simply produce food at volume.
I wanted to create experiences with intention.
I wanted to slow down.
To reconnect.
To cook in a way that felt human again.
POPPA Field Table was born from that realization.
This is not a “boho picnic rental.”
This is not an “Instagram picnic.”
POPPA Field Table is a curated outdoor culinary art experience centered around warmth, atmosphere, storytelling, community, and food that feels personal.
Every table is designed intentionally.
Every menu is curated with care.
Every detail matters.
The table itself is meant to slow people down.
To make room for conversation.
For laughter.
For romance.
For family.
For memory.
Because food has never simply been food to me.
Food is comfort.
Food is culture.
Food is healing.
Food is celebration.
Food is love.
Roosevelt Island will serve as the primary home of POPPA Field Table — a community that I care deeply about and one that has quietly inspired much of this vision from the beginning.
However, select travel and off-island experiences will also be available for private bookings, special events, gatherings, celebrations, and curated collaborations.
This next chapter means a great deal to me.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my work throughout the years, trusted me to cook for your families, attended my events, ordered meal preps, shared my work, encouraged my growth, and believed in me while I searched for a more authentic path forward.
We’re only just beginning.
