One of my color studies - I often use small panels to see what possible color combinations work together. These small panels 6” x 6” often feel complete to me. This one resonated for someone at open studios. They said it was “a birthday present for myself” - so that’s what I titled it before they took it home.
One more day of Open Studios at @1890bryantstudios - Sunday noon -6pm, escape the rain and visit over 75 artists participating. I’m up on the 4th floor in suite 414.
Looks like spring showers are in the forecast for this weekend. So what better way to spend time indoors than by looking at art ! Come explore the studios of over 75 artists participating in Spring Open Studios at @1890bryantstudios I’m located on the fourth floor in suite 414.
Art Matters… because it’s a way to communicate with the world around us. As an artist I’m constantly observing , whether it be nature, politics, or interactions with my community at the coffee shop I work at. As an introvert I find it hard to often put my feelings into words, so I rely on visual communication to make work and connect to people. Open Studios is instrumental in providing a venue for viewers to step into an artist’s creative space and mind, to ask questions , and make connections that are often missed during everyday life. That’s why this year @1890bryantstudios is using “Art Matters” as a tagline and in the next week leading up to our Spring Open Studios event we will be showcasing artists, their work , and their studios- and hopefully next weekend you will come out and share with us why Art Matters to you.
The light!! The 14ft ceilings! How the art, jewelry and objects shine! 🤩 The energy being surrounded by community gathering spaces. The buzz is palpable.
We are still a work in progress. Zhuzhing, placing, shifting, adapting. The things will tell us…

CALL FOR ART -Just a little over a month to finish and send of your feather friend inspired artwork. Birds of a feather stick together , two birds with one stone , or what the flock? The annual group show at @fayesvideo is open to everyone as long as you follow the directions , which are included if you swipe through the slides. Still have questions , just ask and I’ll do my best. If dropping off work in person I also ask that your work is safely protected as things get shifted around in our storage area.
