So far it’s looking like she has been doing nails for a couple years but NOPE.
This is Day 5 of me teaching my niece Jewell how to do nails. Keep in mind, she had never done any of these steps before. Today she worked on her first real person from start to finish while under supervision. No services were sold.
Crazy part is… her work kinda looks like mine a little
We went from having no kids to two. Jewell came with us at 13 years old and is now entering her sophomore year of college🙌🏾, and Janssen Jr. will be starting Pre-K in August.
With all that I have been through I personally feel that having a child does not automatically make someone a mother. Being a mother is something that’s embedded in you. It’s shown through love, care, guidance, sacrifice, and the way you show up for others.
Happy Mother’s Day to you all.
Day 3 of Jewell learning how to do nails. Based on my experience and looking at this set, I would honestly think she’s been practicing for about 2–3 years. Mind you, her very first time doing every single step to complete a full set from start to finish was only 3 days ago.
I may need to open up a nail school.

She may have what it takes. This was her very first time doing all the steps to complete a full set. I told her what to do. She took notes
And did each step.
I made it clear that while she’s in training, I’m not her aunt and she’s not my niece she just needs to follow my instruction.
Also, no electronics are allowed in the shop while she’s learning. We’re going to see how far this goes.
I’m comfortable working in the background it’s one of my super powers lol. I truly love to serve and help things come together behind the scenes. It brings me joy, because I believe when one of us wins, we all do.
This message came from one of my dearest friends someone who always shows up for others. I wanted to share it because sometimes it’s the small, genuine moments like this that keep you going.

Don’t worry, baby we’ll go back again tomorrow. You’ve got this, son. He was so disappointed y’all, but he did make it across once. Now he just wants to keep trying over and over again and didn’t want to leave the park.
