Artist Spotlight @basscoastfest@basscoaststreetteam
UK-based producer and DJ @hypho.mnk has carved out a distinct lane in bass music, known for deep, weighty sound design, crisp percussion, and a relentless stream of quality releases. His sound lives where dubstep, grime, and forward-thinking bass meet, pushing things forward while staying rooted in the culture.
I caught Hypho in Squamish in 2025 and it was a watershed moment in my bass music journey. Something about the precision, the energy, and the intention behind his set just clicked. Since then, following his path, his consistency, and his commitment to community and culture has been a huge inspiration.
In a scene that can drift from its roots, Hypho stays grounded in what makes this music special: connection, community, and sound system culture.
Don’t miss his set at Bass Coast 2026. This one’s gonna slap 💥

A few years ago, I went to my first Shambs, and something shifted. Since then, bass music has taken me on a journey of deep healing and sonic exploration.
I started DJing a few months back and instantly fell in love. Crafting soundscapes and letting low-end frequencies roll through my soul and the souls of everyone in the room is a special kind of magic I’m so grateful to have found.
I’ve chosen the moniker “polyte” because it’s the ethereal bass, melodic textures, and polite drops that move me most deeply.
Throwing down tonight @trickstershideout with some of my best friends. Welcome to the journey 💜
