FIRST LOOK - Polysmiths completed a new home in East London for a young professional couple with British and Gibraltar roots.
Using structural arches for a new interconnected plan for living/dining/kitchen, the project is a low-waste extension and renovation, balancing the buzz of modern London life, with texture and warmth of the Med.
The owners feel they are 'on holiday every day'.

Walden, a flood-resilient lower-ground residence in Kentish Town, has been longlisted for Don't Move, Improve! @nlalondon 's annual competition celebrating innovative home improvement projects across London.
We worked with our client to turn a flood-damaged property into a bright, well-insulated and flood-resilient home.
According to the @mayorofldn Climate change means at least 200,000 basement properties in London are in danger of flash flooding damages, most are residential properties.

The day has come. Peckham Rye house in South London was completed and handed over last night. The project adds minimal structures and materials to renovate a terraced house left unkept since the 70s, lifting the spaces, and introducing new materials that add warmth to a new young family home.

Back to when Walden - a ground level extension in Kentish Town - was taken over by the lush garden two summers past. We worked hard to integrate the new extension with the garden, selecting plants that give colour, volume, and scent.
