You probably mostly knew this already, but I'm an incredibly fortunate guy.
Yes, it's almost a week after Mother's Day. No, it's not too late to express my love, admiration, and gratitude for Destiny.
I think just about the entire internet already knows that she's the most beautiful and has the biggest heart. Hopefully they also know about how funny and smart and patient she is.
But you'd be forgiven, internet, for not already knowing that she's a phenomenal mom. I mean every mom on social media is pretty good at making themselves look like the mother of the century - I think that's actually the primary purpose of social media.
But it's not them. They're mostly pretty good, but Destiny wins.
You don't have to take it from me; all you have to do is meet our kids. Our kids are the best. And when you meet them, you can't help but think to yourself, "Huh. For once Miles isn't lying. These kids clearly have a mom who is the best one."
So, happy not-quite-a-week-after-Mother's-Day to all the moms and acting moms of the world. You are amazing.

My beautiful family ❤️❤️❤️ We've been having a bit of a time with Miles starting night shifts, having health ouchies, and Tilde teething. But through it all there's love ❤️
We had a wonderful celebration for our sweet girl. Spaghetti lunch made with love from your daddy and not one but two smash cakes!
Tilde, you are beyond wonderful and sweet and the perfect straight man in our ridiculous family. I'm so thrilled to get to see the world through your eyes. You feed stuffed dragons and giggle at piggy snorts. You make everything better ❤️

My darling baby girl, I love you so much. You are exactly perfect for being exactly you. I can't wait to continue to get to know everything about you. I want to know all the things you love and hold you tight. I want to hear your squealing laugh when you play with your Daddy and watch you light up when you see your brother. We went on safari!!! NPR did a report a few weeks ago that there were baby cheetahs - naturally I immediately let it slip to Felix and plans were made. It was an exhausting and magical weekend 🥰
Our sweet double rainbow baby is eleven months old today. Next month...one full year since this beautiful being entered our lives. She is wise and sweet and funny and so observant. Whatever doubts I have about the universe, I know for certain that this is not Tilde's first time on this Earth. She fills our hearts and always keeps us on our toes. We didn't know we were missing her until she arrived and the fact that she chose us as her family...I don't have enough words to articulate how grateful I am for the chance to be her mama.
