this project started as me writing way too many sad songs all revolving around the same feeling and events in my life, i normally don’t do full length projects as this is my first but it seemed like it’d all fit perfectly. i also wanted to take the opportunity to push myself with producing to try and capture the emotions as best as i could.
the concept behind the project builds on pity, from not wanting pity in the title song and in the lyrics of a few other songs to begging for pity in “love, ghost”.
the artwork is also the first and only art featuring both geist & aika 😁
i’ll eventually reveal the entire backstory of all the characters on my artworks but aika so far has been most common, she has many forms ranging from the witch on karma, demon on watch him lack / someone you loved, zombie on walking corpse, vampire on complacent, etc. the list can go on forever if you scroll my discography but her true form is the guardian angel of geist. my intention was to have this stay as the only art with them together, as they greet each other acknowledging their presence and that she watches over him.
next year i’ll try and go more in-depth with both aika and the other characters and backstory’s but with the album dropping and hitting 100k monthly’s i wanted to start expanding more on the broader story :)
