Sarus Cranes
Standing almost 6 ft tall, these beautiful creatures are the tallest flying birds in the world.
They mate for life.
It's a wonderfully calming experience to watch them slowly stroll across the shallow wetlands, with no real urgency. Sometimes, if they're in the mood, they break out into a synchronised courtship dance with loud harmonized trumpeting calls.
Then suddenly, by some invisible signal, they take off and fly back to their nest, where in this season their kids wait for dinner.
Nothing beats watching nature in live action.
