Can disassembled interior elements become part of everyday life again?
As we dismantled our office bar ‘Bar Circular’, many of its materials already found a second life beyond the workplace, in the homes of our colleagues.
Teo (designer) created an adjustable table assembled mostly from reclaimed parts of the former bar, designed to remain perfectly level on an uneven floor.
Jens (sustainability strategist) and Inge built a shelving unit for their bio-ecological home in the Kempen region. Pallet wood was planed into clean structural beams, old cable trays became shelves, and a bamboo pole from their garden was repurposed into a clothing rail.
A continuation of materials, reassembled into something new for everyday life.

Ganshoren welcomes POLO Labs’ winning design for the extension of the Les Bruyères school!
The project redefines a fragmented urban condition as a coherent neighbourhood centre. As a “broad school”, it extends beyond its educational role, opening to the community and establishing a framework for exchange between generations within a safe and inclusive environment.

Research on the Diepenbeek campus is getting a touch of POLO!
For UCLL and KU Leuven, POLO has been selected to design a new chemistry research building: a compact, flexible and sustainable laboratory conceived as a “machine à explorer”, where architecture, structure and technology come together in a rational and coherent way.
A bit further on the site, the Biomedical Research Centre for Hasselt University has entered the construction phase. This extension improves circulation, increases functional flexibility, and reinforces the architectural identity of the BIOMED cluster as a whole.

POLO Interior Design renovated the workspace of a housing association through a series of targeted spatial interventions. Enhancing functionality and user comfort, the redesign restores and expands the experience of the original building’s character in a wholly contemporary way. Careful attention was given to the building's heritage, honoring its historical character from its school origins while transforming the workspace into a functional environment.

Perched between city and countryside, the Bellevue plateau in Jambes offers a unique topography and landscape identity. Inspired by this setting, POLO Labs and POLO Urbanism envisioned BelleVIE: a new residential neighbourhood structured around open space, soft mobility and urban agriculture.
The masterplan is a contemporary reinterpretation of the Garden City, aiming to reconcile spatial, environmental, and social demands while addressing today’s sustainability challenges.

How do we design a police headquarters that's civic in character yet rigorous in operation?
POLO's winning competition design consists of a layered organisation of 3 elements, creating a flexible building which operates on different scale levels.
A robust roof structure situates the design within the fragmented, peri-urban context. Underneath the canopy, the building volume steps down in an informal composition, creating generous covered terraces. They integrate the building into the surrounding polder landscape while also referencing dune ecosystems.
From the lofty entrance lobby visitors can catch glimpses of the inner workings of the police station on the first floor. Both lobby and plaza offer generous views towards the green landscape and the expanse of the multifunctional event space next door.

New year, new category, and first nomination of 2026!
Two warehouse facilities designed by POLO are shortlisted for the RES Awards in the brand new category 'Industrial & Logistic Development'.
Built in subsequent phases, these buildings are among the first to be realised in the new, eco-efficient Blue Gate business park. The sustainable ambitions for both buildings have been recognised through a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Today, the spaces are flooded by the daily activities of Amazon, Dries Van Noten, and Herfurth.

Over the past years, POLO has been engaged in the design of three buildings on the DEME head office site, the latest of which - the HQ - is now under construction.
We focus on:
• merging new and existing volumes for the HQ
• enhancing spatial experience with the visitor's pavilion
• stacking office spaces with timber interiors above a parking structure
The projects highlight the interdisciplinarity of our platform: Labs, Architecture, Interior design, and Urbanism. A shared foundation for the year ahead.
Simple, playful and robust interior design for the buildings our architecture team designed for the 3 Eiken campus.
The unfinished concrete aspect plays into current aesthetic preferences and references the brutalism of older buildings on campus. Nonetheless, since the scheme comprises mostly residences, we aim to add a certain softness and warmth in the interiors.

Following the Labs and the visitor's pavilion, the redevelopment of DEME's campus continues with the new headquarters now under construction.
The project restructures a cluster of interconnected office buildings into a single, coherent high-performing workplace ecosystem. Clear ground plans, intuitive circulation, and spatial reconfiguration create a workplace with an integrated and collaborative work culture.
Completion is planned for 2027. Energy efficiency, climate neutrality and long-term adaptability ensure it will endure for decades.
