Today was a good day! Thanks to all the sponsors, vendors, CC parks & rec staff, @mrfathead@somd.skateboard.association and all the BMX riders, skaters, friends and family that came together for this years #bringacanjam We had another Tacoma full of canned goods and coats to donate to @lifestylesofmd It was amazing to see our community come together for a good cause and a great time. We’re already making plans for next years Bring-A-Can Jam.

Yesterday was my last day working for Medstar, after almost 8 years there. I’ve made some great friendships over the years and was lucky to have a great supportive work family that have helped me push through the last 2-3 years. I’ve learned some hard boundary-setting and self-worth lessons over these years and have great gratitude for it, even if it was completely soul-draining. I’ve been more than ready to release this part of life that no longer serves me. On Monday, I start a new adventure with some amazing bad ass humans whose paths crossed mine long ago. The stars and planets are aligning and these recent tarot spreads validate that I’m on the right path and making the best choices for myself and my family.
18 years ago...after I conned you into carrying my books for me to my next class for the 2nd or 3rd week in a row, you finally mustered up the courage to make the next move (since I made the first one weeks prior💋) and ask me, yourself, to be your girlfriend. I said ‘yea okay, I mean, I only wanted to hear it from you directly’ and it’s been one of the best things I’ve ever said yes to! 18 yrs seems like a lot of time, but you still 🎶make me feel so young🎵 as if no time has passed at all. In the same breathe,I think back on a time when I thought I couldn’t possibly love you anymore than I did right then, but months or years go by and my love for you has multiplied. I love how we love each other in all of our ever-evolving ways, and we stay right by each other’s side, always on the same team, right there with me and never against me. I love you babe😘🥰✨🔥

Today marks 17 years that Joe and I have been together. I will always make sure we celebrate this “pre-wedding anniversary” in our own way. We had a lot of fun and a lot of work put into the 11 years prior to getting married, and they deserve some recognition too, in any little way possible! Joe rode his bike while I played hopscotch and hula hopped with my girl. After some Fancy Nancy bedtime stories, Joe and I watched “The Mule” that I DVR’d for us to watch for a “special date night” because I know how much he loves Clint Eastwood movies. We don’t need an expensive dinner date, night out on the town, or gifts of any kind, for any kind of anniversary. And for THAT, I am thankful! I am thankful that after 17 years together, we still want to just watch movies at home, we’re totally fine having chicken nuggets for dinner, and we still want to be on the same team after all these years, our team!💗💗💗 I love you @mrfathead , love mrsfathead.
