Pole Dance and $tr*ppers have been going hand in hand for a long time, and we love it. For us $tr*ppres are the founders of modern day Pole Dance, and a constant source of $*xy inspiration.

⚠️ Disclaimer: nothing against FITNESS - PD is an amazing way to build strength, mobility, and health! 💪🏼
HOWEVER - when we frame pole dance as “just fitness,” we erase its roots. 🤐
PD is an art form that exists across a spectrum - from athletic tricks to §€n§ual €r()tic flow. And while we love the fitness aspect, we shouldn’t use it to ‘sanitize’ where pole actually comes from.
PD has its roots deep in skrip club culture. It is §€n§ual, expressive, and originates from segs workers - whose presence is still heavily policed today🚨
➡️ We believe the goal should not be to make pole more “acceptable” by rebranding it as fitness. But to question why we need to re-brand it anyway?

Cradle into Ballerina - Beginner+ friendly combo! 👯♀️
Ingredients:
🥕basic climb
🥕Split grip
🥕Armpit hold
🥕Inside knee hook
The recipe:
✨Start with a climb to get some distance from the ground
✨Reposition your hands into split grip. Make sure your bottom wrist is straight + point your index finger down to secure it. Engage your shoulders down into your lats - no sinking!
✨Kick your legs towards the top arm OR pause here and work on holding your weight in split grip 👀
✨With your top hand, grab your bottom foot
✨As your top arm moves into an armpit hold, secure your inside leg into a knee hook.
✨Kick the leg you are grabbing upwards and use all the stretch from your backbend class to open your chest and psoas 🔥
Exit like a queen 👑

Stop letting these common habits steal your progress 👀
1️⃣ Not asking questions – Your teacher is here to help. Speak up and get clarity… chances are others will benefit too!
2️⃣ Obsessing over one trick – Tricks are fun, but fixating slows you down. If it’s too tricky, try a variation or move on.
3️⃣ Overthinking instead of moving – Your body learns by doing. Try, fail, repeat… get out of your head and back into your flow 🔥
