Sedaj ko so novice uradno zunaj, bi rad povedal, da se bom upokojil od profesionalnega kolesarstva zaradi zdravstvenih težav. Odločitev je bila težka, ampak zdravje in družina sta na prvem mestu.
V tem primeru bi se rad zahvalil UAE Team Emirates za priložnost in njihovo podporo v moji kolesarski karieri. Vedno bodo moja kolesarska družina.
Rad bi se zahvalil svoji družini in prijateljem, ki so mi vsak trenutek moje kariere stali ob strani.
Na koncu se želim zahvaliti še svojim navijačem, ki so navijali za mene in mi stali ob strani ter proslavljali z menoj vse moje dosežke.

Now that the news is official I would like to announced that because of my health problems I will retire from professional cycling. It was a hard decision but health and family comes first.
In this occasion I have to thank UAE Team Emirates for the opportunity and their support during my carrier and will always be my cycling family.
I have to thank my Family and my friends who always stand by my side in every moment of my life.
And in the end thanks to my fans that were cheering for me all these years on the side of the road or at home watching cycling on TV.
