The Point of VU Student Film Festival was created by students for students. Students in the film festival management course, taught by Senior Lecturer and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Cinema and Media Arts, Mariah Kramer, get an introduction to film festivals and their role in independent cinema. Students will research various types of film festivals and discuss their history, cultural significance, and roles within the independent film marketplace. Students will attend film festival screenings, panels, and/or networking events, while also learning how to plan, program, market, and manage a film festival and conference of their own. If you’re interested in shaping next year’s POVU, this class is for you! Register for CMA 3333-01: Film Festival Management for Fall 2026! #collegeclasses #filmfestival #povu #pointofvusff #vanderbiltuniversity
