Come out to TAP Saturday June 28 for a night of experimental music showcasing Lithuanian sound performance artist Arma Agharta. Representing London’s experimental/noise scene will be Magic Daffodils and Carrot Cake Milkshake.
ARMA AGHARTA:
Arma Agharta is a sound nomad from Lithuania, constantly wandering around and performing in the farthest corners of the globe—whether it’s a garage in Greenland, a field in Indonesia, or an underground club in Peru. This distinctive practice of cultural exploration continuously informs his sound and his ever-surprising and elusive live performance. The latter usually resembles an unimaginable coalescence of DIY object-based sound art, esoteric neo-dadaism elements, and an outlandish sonic playground. Arma relies on a wide variety of found objects and unusual instrument combinations when he performs, thus every performance is a unique one-off spectacle. With more than 600 performances behind him, Arma Agharta returns to Canada after an absence of 7 years.
