In the spirit of Earth Day, we felt it was a good opportunity to highlight how Pochle celebrates the natural landscapes we have in and around Edinburgh.
The production process of Pochle begins by sourcing its primary ingredient, apples, whether it be from farms, orchards, or someone’s back garden. This embraces the diverse ecology and flavour potential of the city and its surroundings, replicating the relationship between wine and terroir, whilst utilising surplus produce that would otherwise go to waste.
We recognise the potential of the land and care for it through our circularity focused production, making every bottle taste that bit better…

Following on with introductions to our cocktail menu, meet the Cramond Island Iced Tea - our take on the classic Long Island. Being the second cocktail on the menu showcasing our own Pochle, it celebrates our love of eaux de vie, blending apples with apricot and pear flavours. Additional cherry and pressed candy notes round this drink off, making it one fruity and herbaceous tea.
Inspiring the name, Cramond Island is an island off the coast of Edinburgh with bustling nature and military ruins on it, accessible by crossing a causeway. (Scroll to see pics of the island from sunnier days)

Summer is definitely over, but who decided that you can’t have a Spritz? Showcasing our very own Pochle, the Dunediner Spritz is almost reminiscent of a rhubarb dessert whilst also being as refreshing as the classic it’s based off of, the Aperol Spritz.
With Dunediner being a term for a person from Edinburgh, we hope this drink truly showcases how Pochle embodies the spirit of the city 🥂

Spring has (finally) sprung!
🌸As well as bringing a welcome dose of sun, this is the time of year when the apple trees around Edinburgh begin to blossom. The young fruit brings the promise of autumn harvest, their buds a gorgeous reminder of the cycle that forms the base of Pochle’s unique taste.🌸
