The team pretty much let me have free rein on all of my interior illustration assignments which was pretty cool! The authorās writing style is sharply vivid and the nature of the story has a bit of dark-tinged fantasy that is a little different from the works Iāve illustrated for in the past, so it was a challenge trying to illustrate pieces that could match the vibe of the passages. Many thanks to @lilyartnook for helping me map out the arm anatomy for one of my references while I was crashing out!!!

Iāve been struggling with accepting the fact that the limitations of my current skill level are preventing me from executing certain things in my current projects the way that I would like to hahaā¦so the responsible thing to do is to drop everything and finish sketching some lizards at 5AM :D

Happy New Year! Itās year of the horse~ I give major credit to @soriekim ās animal sketching course at @warriorartcamp for helping me get over my fear of drawing horses. Okay honestly horse anatomy is REALLY odd and theyāre still difficult for me (their buttocks and neck drive me bonkers!!!!!) but Sorie breaks down construction so well I was pleasantly surprised with how well class exercises could translate into illustration work ahaha. People tell me thereās a uniquely vast market for people that can draw horsesā¦
