Why we are still on strike. It’s really that simple.

It is incredibly important to us that our members feel protected wearing buttons and t-shirts, circulating petitions, and participating in other forms of concerted union activity. Our proposal reflects that of our staff siblings in the East.

This is Alec and Jose, two dedicated Guild staffers who deserve to be rewarded for their years of service.

This is Shelly Guzman, 14 year staffer at WGAW. Seniority in layoffs protects people like Shelly who have dedicated their career to the Guild.

We need a no-strike clause that allows us to maintain our right to legal, concerted activity. It’s that simple.

This is Genevieve, a 26 year staffer at the Guild. Without the longevity increase accounting for years of service, she will lose out on being rewarded for 20+ years of her work. Management has said they can change this, it’s time they do just that.

This is Scott, an attorney at WGAW and a member of WGSU. We are fighting for a layoff structure that protects seniority, a benefit our staff siblings at the East have. Do the right thing, @writersguildwest .

Today WGSU demonstrated our power and resolve as we marched through Los Angeles in honor of May Day alongside our union siblings. Almost 12 weeks on strike, our passion and dedication to a fair, equitable contract has never been greater. With every day we continue to grow and evolve, reminding each other why we started this union. We will never back down! 💪💚
