And speaking of annual traditions, this was the tenth year for #THSBB where our favorite @theholdsteady conducts their year-end residency @brooklynbowl — and for the tenth straight year, it immediately follows our @amazonwebservices re:Invent lol — we had such a nice time in communion with everyone and there is SO MUCH JOY in what we do when we get together. My twelfth (!) #AWSreinvent was last week and it was grand. I am authentically so proud of what we do for our customers and the whole world — plus, Apple’s VP of services engineering got on stage and told everyone that a big chunk of iCloud is powered by our magical computers & services. I’ve given almost seven years of my (professional?) life in service of that particular customer and on behalf of the hundreds of us who’ve directly handled them, I can tell you that it’s a thrilling privilege & pleasure to obsess over such an exceptional customer. I had a wonderful time last week with our team meetup in Minneapolis (central location for travel and local to our inestimable leader). I am so deeply proud to be part of this exceptional group of practitioners — half of us are brilliant cloud networking experts and the other half are brilliant cloud security experts (my half!). We learn so much from one another and the principals on the team (also incl. me!) set an #AWSome bar. I’m doing the best work of my life and calling this team home makes it possible.
The late, great #BillShinn created and defined my role as a Security Solutions Architect. Our team together spoke fondly of him during our meetings and socials. We will always love and adore our dearest Bill.

Spent Friday evening with one of my most favorite people @sophiecantell at her country home. My heart is still aching but a dear friend, puppies, and a country sunset helped.

I am fully shattered. One of my closest friends and great personal & professional mentors died Thursday night. Bill had called me Wednesday evening and we spoke for half an hour; he was so excited to tell me about a really hard situation he had handled that morning. We made plans to have dinner tonight, Monday, in Seattle. (Trip since canceled)
He was an icon, a leader, and one of the most loving and beautiful friends that I’ve ever had. This is going to hurt forever. We will always love you, dearest Bill. Our grief will only be exceeded by your legacy.

Had a blast with my dearest cousin @elizabeth_murphy03 at the fifth (!) annual celebration of life at the #USOpen on Thursday — I had always wanted to visit Ashe and after I somehow didn’t die of Covid in 2021, I have returned each year. Such super fun to see @cocogauff and @tommypaull play great matches 🥳🤩🙌🏻🥰🤗✊🏻
