*Please Read —- 80th GREENHORN Update: For decades, the Greenhorn was THE premier Enduro event in the country. As land regulations slowly pushed desert racing into history, the GH evolved into what it is today: an unforgettable scenic road tour packed with twisties, stories, and questionable dietary decisions made at gas stations. And to honor those Enduro roots, we like to add something special for dual sporters and scramblers. Important bit for the Greenhorn curious and Greenhorn nervous:The MAIN Greenhorn route is always a paved road tour, suitable for all street riders. No dirt bike heroics required. Just good roads, good people, and a proper adventure. But for those wanting a little extra dust in their teeth, there will also be a separate “ENDURO” route sheet featuring 3 optional off road sections along the way this year. Two routes.Same start.Same finish.Very different journey. ROAD route:100% pavement. ENDURO route:75% road, 25% off road.Recommended skill level: Intermediate. Want to compete for a ROAD or ENDURO Greenhorn Trophy? You’ll need to complete one route in its entirety. Feel free to switch routes along the way if you like, but trophy eligibility disappears faster than a mini market hot dog. Saturday, May 30, 20268am Santa Clarita Full info at LINK IN BIO. p.s. Book a room in or near San Luis Obispo for May 30. @russbrownmotorcycleattorneys @torchelmets @proitalia @espinozasleather @650cc_apparel @tobaccomotorwearco

On Monday nights the Pasadena Motorcycle Club meets at their clubhouse on Howard Street for general meetings. But starting in April of each year, when the daylight hours are extended in their favor, club members volunteer to lead dinner rides one Monday of each month in place of a meeting. They start at 7pm and the rides lasts about an hour. There’s no shortage of twisty scenic routes in the area. Last nights ride ended up being closer to an hour and twenty minutes, landing back in Pasadena for dinner at Der Wolf. The sunset and Mountain View’s are incredible.

A toast to the old motorcycle club. Why are they so committed to this thing? Nobody’s exactly sure why at first. That’s probably the point. Leadership rotates every several years. Just long enough to think you’ve got it figured out before you hand it off and realize you didn’t. A mix of unlikely friendships. Ages all over the place. Backgrounds that wouldn’t overlap anywhere else in life. Looks like a traffic school class where everyone took a wrong turn and just decided to stay. Some wandered in out of curiosity and got stuck. Not in a bad way. More like this is better than sitting at home scrolling and wondering why you feel a little off even though everything’s fine. The clubhouse handles it. Always has. Somehow the room’s just big enough. A few new ones come in, a few drift out. Age, family moves, life, whatever. The stories stay. They get passed down and bent a little each time. Legends stretch. Details blur. Who cares about accuracy. Take a seat and you’ll watch the older guys dig in about change. Give it a few years and there you are doing the exact same thing, wondering when that happened. You toughen up a little. You relax a little. You definitely ride more. The bikes get bigger. The whiskers get lighter. Is it nice to point it out? Who cares! You’re gonna get roasted either way. And under all of it there’s this quiet pride. Not loud. Just knowing you showed up and helped keep something going that was already old when you found it. Every Monday night they rumble in, flip on the lights, plug in the popcorn machine, and get on with it. Plans, arguments, dumb jokes, the occasional good idea. And there’s always that look at the door. Maybe someone new walks in, checks it out, sticks around. Takes their turn. That’s it. The goddamn thing just keeps going. Long live the old motorcycle club.

Join us live for some American motorcycle history… 4pm pst today. The Pasadena Motorcycle Club, founded in 1907 in Pasadena, California, is one of the oldest motorcycle clubs in the world. Built on over a century of riding, it’s a family oriented group dedicated to the love of the open road, bringing riders together through scenic tours, historic events like the Greenhorn Ride, and a strong sense of community keeping the true spirit of motorcycling alive.

A nonprofit organization, the oldest club of its kind in SoCal, made up of a diverse group of people, machines, backgrounds, and ages. One thing’s for sure there’s always work to do. And despite all of us having full lives and plenty of other shit going on, there are always volunteers who step up to get it done. When we ride up each week and enter the old clubhouse, we’re not in a bubble. People hold different opinions, strong ones. Maybe they’re firm, maybe they diverge, but we bond over common ground. And unlike many families, we can laugh about it and still look forward to seeing each other next Monday night. We have a mission.. to keep the ship afloat. And we don’t lose sight of that. It’s in good hands no doubt about it. One hundred and nineteen years strong.
