如果要數香港流行文化的象徵，我想李小龍絕對是表表者。他的武打片衝出亞洲，衝擊美國娛樂產業，其中Hip-Hop文化的#KendrickLamar 和#WuTangClan 都是李小龍的狂熱愛好者。近年，他的武術哲學更再次啟發香港人。⠀

這張唱片是一張日版的李小龍電影原聲音樂精選，收集了李小龍不同電影包括 #龍爭虎鬥 ， #精武門 ， #死亡遊戲 等的樂曲。它特別的地方便是全部都是日文，而且還有留意一下這專輯有 我上一次 #菜氏冷知識 系列提及過的obi 。你可能會想為何這張專輯有一點點污漬，因為這是一張二手唱片而我是從網上的二手黑膠平台購買的。 發行這張唱片的東宝唱片 （Toho Records) 的母公司同樣是李小龍電影系列在日本的發行商 （東宝株式会社）。據網上資料，原來當年的香港製片商嘉禾曾拒絕讓日本人發行李小龍的電影，因為裏面的反派很多都是日本人，但日方說這些電影是好機會讓他們的國民了解以往的過失。這算是一段挺有趣的插曲。⠀

Bruce Lee is always my No. 1 martial arts hero of Hong Kong (not Jackie Chan lol), I believe many Hong Kongers concur with me. I have long wanted to collect vinyls that well-represent Hong Kong, and am so thrilled to own this Japanese version of Bruce Lee’s movie theme songs collection. The movies featured were some of his greatest Hollywood and local hits such as The Game of Death, Enter the Dragon, The Big Boss etc… ⠀

This is my first time purchasing a vinyl from @discogs and the experience was rather satisfying. Purchased this press from a Japanese and the condition of the record was pretty well-kept. Even though the seller was rather slow in replying my messages but he did offer whatever he could (probably due to language barrier). He was willing to share pictures of the vinyl condition, which relives my anxiety as a first time Discogs user. The delivery took over 1.5 month, in some sense it’s understandable since the pandemic simply fucked everyone of us up. Shockingly, quite a lot of my friends who collect vinyl have never use ⠀

Bruce’s movie series is one of the pinnacle moments for Hong Kong popular culture history and his philosophy still continues influencing many of us Hong Kongers.

Olivier 江逸天也許是個陌生的名字，但如果我跟你說他是Serrini 「 天雷」一曲的編曲和監製，你也許會略知一二他的音樂風格。事實上，他是第一位香港人被Apple Music 列入”New Artist Spotlight”。 整張專輯從包裝設計已點名那種黑暗路線的曲風，但那種黑暗風卻帶點空靈感，這全賴於這專輯的樂器編排。以弦樂為主，然後用上不同銅管樂器（小號，法國號）和敲擊樂器去添上一層層的色彩。當中有古典音樂的影子，也有民謠，藍調，搖滾等，因此不應該去把他的音樂歸納成一個特定風格。有人會說這專輯充滿「詩意」，而這詩意來自於歌曲的故事：講述一個人在森林迷路，但慢慢地不靠地圖也找到方向。面世兩年後，更特別適合現今的香港人。 強烈建議一邊閱讀唱片小冊子裏的插畫，一邊細聽歌曲。 ⠀

你也許會問江有什麼特別，也只不過是一個風格另類的歌手。對我來說，這張專輯並沒有大家想像中那麼難「入口」，相反於短短的45分鐘內，我感受到心靈的平靜，而這種平靜讓我凝視自己的內心。而且，我很佩服一個本地音樂人願意製作的黑膠，雖然他必然考慮可以在海外發售這個因素，但始終於香港這個市場有限。而這份願意「搏一搏」的魄力值得我們多多支持。⠀

上兩個post我曾說過希望推廣一個更多元化的香港音樂圈子，而“A Ghost and His Paintings”是我近年來特別鍾情的一個本地創作，在此與大家分享。 ⠀

Newest member to my vinyl collection, and I just can’t hide my love towards Olivier’s music. One of the underrated local singer-songwriter, even though he has been chosen as “New Artist Spotlight” on Apple Music. This album is dark-themed but poetic, atmospheric but heart-striking. It’s pretty hard to generalize a specific genre as Olivier infused folk, blues, rocks and even classical music into his production. An exceptionally inspiring album that illustrated the journey of a man wandering in the woods and somehow managed to find a way out, utterly meaningful for all of us during this difficult era. You just can’t skip any of the tracks and try to appreciate the instrumentation. There are so many layers in the songs, constructed by strings, french horn, trumpet, percussion, etc... A tip to enhance your listening experience is to read the included book art at the same time. An essential for your collection if you are looking for quality music production from Hong Kong. ⠀

一直想做一些另類專題去推廣不同音樂文化。在香港買唱片應該不算太普遍，大家習慣用串流平台聽歌。但其實歌手和音樂單位於串流平台的分成不多，最實際支持他們的，還是購買專輯，尤其是欣賞整個唱片的設計理念。希望這個專題#菜氏冷知識 讓大家更認識黑膠，它不一定是太奢侈的玩意呢～⠀

1. Some said carbon pigment can increase conductivity of a vinyl and reduce dust accumulation, which can help preserve it. That’s why traditionally vinyl are black in colour. ⠀

2. The stylus slides across the rails on the press and undergoes magnetic induction with the coil within the cartridge. The signals are then picked up and are turned into audible sounds.⠀

3. Each side of vinyl can only record around 30 minutes of music. You gotta flip it over to finish the album. That’s why CD was way more popular starting from the 80s

4. Look for the album codes on the package to check which version does your vinyl belong to on Discogs.⠀

5. Second hand vinyl can shoot up to over hundred thousands US dollars.
