Viv Magia is a Finnish street artist and visual artist working internationally. She often works in a multicultural environment and also loves to implement interdisciplinary collaborations. Spending a lot of time in South America can be seen as a stylistic influence in her colorful artworks. Magia is interested in the mystique of nature and fighting for preservation of nature, equity and human rights.

Since 2020 Nelly Toussaint has been working on a special project: redrawing the female representation through Art history, especially representations of motherhood. Using the strong theme of the Virgin Mary (mother of Jesus Christ), developed by classical Western art history, she has been developing a new story seen from a feminine point of view and addressing women’s issues and questions. The project reveals burdens that women carry just by being able to give birth. Burdens that women carry when they become mothers, which are then passed to their own daughters.
Reclaiming the freedom of women’s bodies and women history, means reclaiming control over art history by women.

Robin Lindqvist originally comes from Sweden but has been living and working in Helsinki since 2006. In 2011 he graduated from the Finnish Academy of Fine Art.
His paintings can be described as conceptual-minimal with great emphasis on colour.

Jaakko Leeve is a Finnish artist working in the fields of contemporary art and design. He works mainly with sculptures and installations.
Leeve calls his approach to art - an insightful observing of everyday life. He combines conceptual meanings with high craftmanship skills and references to pop-art. Jaakko holds a Master of Arts degree from Aalto University. In his recognised masters thesis Sori Siitä (2018), a memorial for concequences of an environmental damage, was an excogitation of environment and public space relation.
After finishing Bachelor studies from Lahti Institute of Design he wanted to deepen the societal comprehenson of his doing and did his masters studies specializing in contemporary art at Aalto Universitys Visual Culture and Contemporary Art masters program. Leeve has been exhibiting his works in recognized galleries and exhibitions in Finland and abroad. Doing works also anonymusly in guerilla style, Jaakko Leeve thinks that art is best when it fully suprises you, when you get hit by a thought or a feeling you didn’t expect.

Heidi Lahtinen is an artist living and working in Helsinki. She graduated as a painter from Free Art School in 2011 and is currently doing her master degree at Academy of Fine Arts.
The main technique of her works is tufting and various plastering techniques. As materials she uses wool yarn, jute fabric, plasters and lightweight concrete.
The theme of her works are extinct animal species. In some of the works, she presents the animals as if they have been found in a tar pit all jumbled together: the head of an ancient goat appears on the Javan tiger, and the cow antelope has the body of a manatee. In
some works, she presents the animals as they were when they were alive.

Teoksissaan Kimmo Kumela (1971) on kuvannut metsää, jättömaita ja urbaania raunioitunutta maisemaa. Nyt aiheiksi ovat löytyneet myös muotokuvat. Hänen kuvastossaan maailman tapahtumat yhdistyvät taiteilijan henkilökohtaiseen historiaan. Teokset esitetään usein suurina teoskokonaisuuksina tai vaihtoehtoisesti sarjana pienempiä teoksia.
Kumela työskentelee pääasiassa piirtäen, mutta myös maalauksen, valokuvan ja kollaasin keinoin. Materiaaleina teoksiinsa hän käyttää usein löydettyjä kuvia, sanomalehtiä ja tekstejä, joita hän työstää ja muokkaa omakseen.
Kumela valmistui Kuvataideakatemiasta Helsingissä 2001. Hän on myös opiskellut Malmön Taidekorkeakoulussa Ruotsissa. Hän on järjestänyt lukuisia yksityisnäyttelyitä Suomessa ja Ruotsissa sekä osallistunut ryhmänäyttelyihin Suomen lisäksi mm Ruotsissa, Norjassa, Virossa ja Venäjällä. Vuonna 2013 hänet palkittiin Suomen Taideyhdistyksen William Thuring palkinnolla.

Mirka Hämäläinen is a visual artist from Helsinki who graduated from the sculpture department of the Academy of Fine Arts.
My works are intuition works; that is to say they come about when I’m not looking for anything in particular but instead, I just let my mind wander along its own paths deep into the woods. Spaces and walls that show the patina of time are things that intrigue me. I am particularly fascinated by imagining the stories they contain. My works are created as if by stealth, gradually over a few days, or sometimes it can take years to finish a piece. I strive for an appearance of effortlessness even if in reality I have to struggle and work hard to create that illusion.

Originally from the UK, Dan Beard has lived and worked as a professional artist in London and Los Angeles. He currently lives in Helsinki. He has exhibited in the UK, US and Nordic region.
For the last three years he has been working on a series exploring the properties of tree bark. This has been an in depth study made by drawing from life and painting back in the studio.
The paintings included in this show follow the general principles observed in bark structure but investigates further the inherent abstract qualities of it. The result is movement, ambiguous planes, rich visual textures and the complexity of connections. The techniques of the painting differs between the work in the series, some graphic and gestural, others more representational. But as much as the works are about a particular theme, they are first and foremost concerned with painting.
