FASHION FOOTBALL CLUB - WORKSHOP 01
It was never a trend, it was always a matter of passion and identity.
This week, my brothers and colleagues
@novanta811 ,
@asiimon (
@unimareproject ) and I got the great opportunity to share our love for football jerseys with
@headgeneve BA and MA students during a 5 days workshop.
Beyond our love for the beautiful game and its jerseys, we wanted to highlight the broader issues these garments embody—whether social, political, religious, racial, or their connection to minorities.
In recent years, football jerseys have become a true trend, even embraced by major fashion houses. Yet, they remain first and foremost a symbol of the people. Our goal was to recontextualize them as a genuine subject of study.
Over the five days workshop, students of various courses including cinema, visual communication, jewelry design, visual arts, and fashion design demonstrated remarkable maturity in exploring the codes of this unique garment.
Through an analysis of both its ancient and recent history, they developed a critical perspective—sometimes lighthearted, sometimes profound, but always infused with a sensitive and authentic reinterpretation.
It was truly a pleasure to engage in this exchange with all of them, all of you.
I would like to thank
@headgeneve ,
@headfashiondesign and its teaching staff for their trust, as well as all the participants for their enthusiasm and the richness of their contributions.
Hungry for what’s next, we keep on hustlin
