Cocktales is an art event and stage. A small, inclusive cultural festival where artists and visitors can be seen. We are a presentation space with room for experiment and research. The artists are emerging, diverse queer talents from the region and beyond.

During this edition we look at identity: Gendered identity, reclaimed identity, longing for belonging. We have a new performance by @joleynveenhuysen , spoken word and visual art by Shizen Tsie-Chun-Sioe and visual art by @rikgrevink . And of course, cocktails! We end the evening with a drink and a dance and DJ Space! Boy! @dickiespaceboy

Behind this event is a simple idea: small local actions can support people facing big challenges. Since April 2023, Sudan has been experiencing a devastating conflict that has displaced millions of people. Many families are struggling to access food, clean water, healthcare, and safe shelter. At the same time, humanitarian organizations on the ground are doing crucial work and they rely on international support to continue.

This carnival, Baltan Laboratories invites you to an unforgettable alternative to the typical Dutch rave. 🎡
On Saturday, February 14th, from 19:00–00:00, Blablalab’s Live Coding community merges algorithmically composed music and visuals with the glorious absurdity of Cars 2.
Performers will glitch, obfuscate, and remix the 2011 family film in real time using a hydra video synthesizer, transforming it into a psychedelic sensory experience. Meanwhile, musicians will live-compose an electronic soundtrack to keep you moving and guide you through the screening.
Before the rave and screening fully kick off, the evening begins at 19:00 with a From Scratch session. A selection of local live-coders will perform short, fully improvisational sets—no setup, no preparation, just pure live coding. From Scratch sessions are a long-standing live coding tradition, originating in Mexico City in the early 2000s as a way for coders to challenge one another before a set.
