What do you get when you combine Woodstock and the ultimate comfort food menu? It’s PLS (aka Peace Love Soul). What I expected just to be a casual counter service spot for bomb smashburgers and milkshakes turns out to be so much more. The unique and groovy eatery, connected to San Francisco’s Hotel Zeppelin, transports you to Woodstock in the 1970s. Walls are covered with early rock & roll icons and the hits are playing at the perfect volume. They lean so hard into the theme that they even have two special menu items celebrating the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary: Chez Ray American Hot Dog and Cherry Garcia Shake. What really blew us away was the access to the hotel’s awesome game room, which anyone at the restaurant can check out! You’ll find basketball, pool, foosball, and more down there. Check out happy hour Monday-Friday from 3:30-6pm cocktails, beer, and sangria! Plus they have a burger, fries, and drink special for $23. My favorite items were their Hot Honey Fried Chicken Smash and Cookies & Cream Milkshake.
